Must not be a design flaw then, hey? ;-)Copying a design flaw. Wow.
How is it the best design from a marketing point of view? Just because it’s different doesn’t mean people will gravitate towards it.Lets‘s just say, from an engeneering point of view it is bad design. As worse as it can get bad. An from marketing perspective it is the best design.
How could anyone feel proud so blantantly copying a product? Like there’s ARemoji being similar to Face ID, but then there’s thisthey even copied the wallpaper!
Strange. Others following Apple designs and implementation with ‘Face Access’? Amazing how Apple is ridiculed for the Notch and others follow later.

It’s the worst notch I’ve ever seen.Definitely a sub-par notch.
The person whose nails you criticise is probably Chinese, in which case, it is common to have long fingernails, and for hundreds of years until today, some people (men and women) will allow one fingernail to become very long - and clean. It shows status of being above manual labour. Since when did you become the global nail length standard authority? The hand model holding the phone needs to trim his nails.
It very much is objectively so. Does the notch improve user esperience? No it doesn‘t in the contrary UX and development is much worse. Is it really?! That's an assumption and opinion only.
While I agree, these are pure Chinese counterfeit iPhones. When Samsung has a notch then I will laugh.Strange. Others following Apple designs and implementation with ‘Face Access’? Amazing how Apple is ridiculed for the Notch and others follow later.
$150 vs $1000. That's why Apple makes billion$.
I didn't like the notch at first, but after thinking about it, it's not a bad idea, at least when in portrait mode, it makes sense to have it, so you can put the signal strength, battery level, etc in that area. However, when you go landscape mode, is where I have always thought it would be a little bit weird. I have not touched an X yet, but it would have been cool if apple designed the "Ears" to just show that info, rotating that info when the phone went in landscape mode and keeping that info in the Ears.Strange. So what do you gain from the notch? One thing: It makes the X recognizable. People love it cause everyone in the subway will easily see and know you can afford a 1k+ phone.
So again from design and engeneering perspective it makes zero sense. From marketing perspective it’s a genius move.
Wheter it looks nice is indeed subjective but an engeneer will not even care cause with the notch in the screen it’s like arguing which pile of **** smells better.

Your opinion does not factually make it a design flaw. Again, I don’t know your profession, but I can tell you that from an “engineering perspective” it makes perfect sense as a pragmatic solution to the problem of fitting an array of sensors and cameras into a device that was intended to have as much screen area as possible. The engineers did their job in finding a practical way of accomplishing that—a way you simply don’t think looks very pretty. Notwithstanding your subjective opinion, it takes nothing away from the user experience with the phone.
And your obsession with it makes me think you don’t actually use the device. You simply don’t notice it after a short time.
