Its hardware they just reduced the sound quality so it does not have the cracking. i want to see a sound comparison before and after the beta.

в ios 11.3 beta 6 -версии исправлено?

apple only decrease the max volume... weird solution for a 1000 dolars cellphone.
Should be interesting to see what more is tweaked or improved upon with the offical 11.3 release...

Did we find comparison videos of that yet? I’m on 11.3 beta 6 and can’t really tell the difference...

Hi. I have a problem with my new iPhone X too. During the calls. When I set my speaker up to max or more than 80% , earspeaker is cracking and buzzing. Only with calls. Do you have this problem too?

Since iOS 11.3 and from yesterday 11.4 the improvement is huge. I noticed no decreased in max volume and no crackles anymore with calls (HP on with topspeaker). The ringtone test works too ! 6months for a fix but we have it ! :)

I have the same problem on iPhone XR
My iPhone XR earpiece speaker sound is buzzing and It's so noisy. I have this problem for all kind of sound from the earpiece speaker like music, during phone calls, and even my ringtone. I have tried all this methods but the sound is still buzzing;

  1. restart my iPhone
  2. hard reset my iPhone
  3. clean the earpiece speaker
  4. restore my device with iTunes

Found this thread when looking for information about my refurb iPhone X, and noticed a lot of y’all saying that the speaker may need to be “broken in”

well I have always felt like a bit of an audio snob, and when I saw these comments I was taken aback. I honestly had no idea this was and is very much a thing.

🤞 here’s hoping I can successfully “break in” the earpiece speaker!
