Kinda wish they didn’t remove that. I miss my large icons.
Just got the x and it makes a big difference to font size throughout. Not jut large icons. Really hope they bring this back
I just spent some time searching an iPhone X settings for Display Zoom and I couldn't find it. On my 6 Plus, it's at Settings > Display & Brightness > Display Zoom > View > "standard" or "zoomed"
Display Zoom isn't just about larger icons. It zooms the entire display. Text, icons, UI elements. Everything.
Basically, it makes an iPhone 6/7/8 Plus a larger iPhone 6/7/8, and it makes an iPhone 6/7/8 a larger iPhone 5/se. Display Zoom gives you less screen real estate, but everything is zoomed in larger. Why would you want that option? Well, if you have great vision, you probably don't. If you have poor vision, it makes a huge difference.

Well crap. This right here means I’ll likely cancel my order. Which is fine, 7+ is a heck of a phone.

My eyes are really tired after an evening of reading on this phone unzoomed. There’s a very real chance the X is gonna be my EX phone soon.
Yeah sorry bud but it’s an eyesight thing. The 7+ means I don’t have to always throw my reading glasses on to look at my phone.
Sadly hit 40 and eyesight was first to go.

Done. I would have bought the X today if the zoom view was offered, but will stick with my 8 for now
Yup my X does not have this feature either like my 7 plus. Over 40 crowd here cannot see as well.
Once nice thing about being nearsighted and over 50, I can take my glasses off and have no issues. Those who have 20/20 vision or are farsighted, would have problems with smaller screens.
Done. Don’t think I’ll teturn the x but very annoying. Can’t find reachability either
If you are a couple of weeks from delivery, maybe go to a brick and mortar and play with it for a bit before deciding to cancel.
I’m finding the X display very nice and so crisp that I may not ultimately miss the Display Zoom feature, which I’ve been using for a couple of years on a model 6. I did bump the text size up one notch so reading emails and articles should should be less strenuous. Obviously this isn’t the same as display zoom but so far I’m not missing it.
A better screen is great. A better screen with a microscopic UI is useless.
After a day with the iPhone X I do NOT LIKE IT! Finally dawned on me why, have always used my iPhones with the zoom feature on! They must bring this back I think it would make me like this phone a lot more (going from a plus)
I did reach out to Apple and expressed this. I hope anyone else wanting this feature back also email them! Otherwise I absolutely love the Face ID and how the phone operates without the home button, absolutely brilliant! Just the size is throwing me off so bad going from the plus to this, I think it all comes down to I’ve always used iPhone with that feature selected, so really think this is what is throwing me off
