Me too. I hope they bring it back.
I, too, have been spending the last two days looking for a way to enlarge my icons to no avail. The zoom feature that acts as a Bizzarre magnifying Box and is very difficult to use. I definitely miss the larger icons and hope they bring this back very soon.

Yup my X does not have this feature either like my 7 plus. Over 40 crowd here cannot see as well.

YES we can, but we need our glasses. I'm guessing, but I think the medium age for buying the X is biased toward older people because of the cost. Estabished = more money (generally).

And YES, i want my zoomed icons Apple...

Have any of the hands on reviews been able to confirm if the Display Zoom option still exists for the X?

I purchased an iPhone X and was looking for the same feature like in all the other iPhones. I called a senior consultant at Apple they researched it and got back to me and said that feature is not available in the iPhone X and will never be. I will be returning my iPhone X. This is something that they should document or communicate.

Hmmmmm...Im sure we alll hope this is not true...but I wonder if its possible that Apple is looking at it a different way....I have been looking at a number of apps...and most if not all of the apple apps are fine...text size works well to make them very usable. And certain other popular apps...Instagram, Facebook, YouTube,....are also pretty readable without a Display Zoom....yes, others are not great.....snapchat text is small...all browsers, etc....but maybe Apple is leaning towards the App developers to use Dynamic Fonts more and to make their UI elements a bit larger????

Who knows....Uggg.....

Agreed. That is probably the case, but whether it is a simple google search using the mobile safari or chrome browser or locating icons, this is a huge issue for people who don’t have 20/20 or are far sighted. Why have the additional real estate or having a plus size phone if you can’t use it.

Once nice thing about being nearsighted and over 50, I can take my glasses off and have no issues. Those who have 20/20 vision or are farsighted, would have problems with smaller screens.

For some time I was disappointed with my Apple Watch screen. I’d read that it was amazing but it seemed pretty poor to me. Then one day I happened to look at it without my glasses on. Wow! Crystal clear and sharp! Vibrant colours.

Yes, I’ve reached that happy age where I look at my iPhone without my glasses on. It looks so great! But the glasses go back on for pretty much everything else.

Oh, and I sold my 5-inch satnav and upgraded to the 6-inch. Isn’t getting old fun?

I'm bummed too about this, I have an eye issue and sadly my icons on my regular 6 (with display zoom) are larger than my X. I am considering going to 8 plus and saving some $ to retain the display zoom. Can anyone confirm that display zoom is still available in the 8 plus? I think it's funny that the 6 as a smaller phone had it and the X doesn't, just odd decision making on Apple's part.

Oh bummer, that's bad news for me, too. :(
I've been using zoomed view since the iPhone 6 Plus three years ago. Since reading this topic I've switched back the view on my 6s Plus to Normal and try using it that way. It's kind of a headache, tbh.

I'll wait until I get my order (two weeks from now) and see how it goes... I'd hate to have to give up on this wonderful iPhone.

Everyone who wants zoom back should send Apple feedback. Takes a few seconds.

Done, too.

Anyone know any high up Apple employees email address? I read a few threads where someone emailed Craig/Tim direct and they replied.
Twitter works, too.

If anyone needs to increase the letter size, go to accessibility and larger text.

This feature was on my iPhone 6s but not on the iPhone X. For me, this was enough to sway me into getting the iPhone 8 Plus yesterday. The iPhone X already had a few strikes against it at that point; i.e. higher price, higher repair cost, no touch ID

Zoom is a plus feature and the x was never considered a plus phone (by Apple)

Please check your facts before posting. The display zoom feature is not an exclusive “plus” phone feature. I have never owned a plus size iPhone and have been using this feature for many years. I have used this feature on a regular size iPhone 6 and an iPad. However the REMOVAL of the display zoom is currrntly only limited to the iPhone X.

That’s incorrect. The feature is available on the iPhone 7 and other models.

I used the zoom feature when mounting my iPhone 7 to the dash of my car during longer road trips. I’m not happy about the removal, wondering if it’s notch-related?
