iPhone X in time for Xmas?

If I get a delivery time beyond December then it’s a no go for me. I will wait it out another year. No sense in screwing up my yearly cycle
 
Sometimes change is necessary. We need to move forward.

The current flagship iPhone is the 8. This gives Apple all the time they need to produce the X. There is less urgency now.

If you order within the first 3 min on Oct 27th you have a good chance to receive a November Phone. If you order the end of November you'll be into late Q2 to mid Q3. :apple:

I think the situation is overblown, they are making more than 10k units per day, it might not turn out to be that bad. It would really hurt their earnings if they don't produce enough phones, so this is probably their top priority. If scalpers get their hands on the phone, that is just going to make those people think more about jumping to an Android or some other phone with more supply.

We don't know how demanding it's going to be. Maybe we have surveys for 20 million people and find out what they say.

EDIT: I sure hope there's sim free version out soon as well.

Ultimately, this is my plan as well. If for whatever reason if I were not to receive the iPhone X soon enough, then I would likely cancel and wait until next year. Mainly the reason being, is I upgrade annually, and having the iPhone X for less than eight months would not be ideal in my situation. Especially given how expensive it is. Shipping time should be interesting once Preorders start.

Some people will get them on November 3rd, Apple wouldn't of said November 3rd otherwise, it just may be limited amount and those that pre-order as the Apple store and pre-orders go live. I'm not sure i believe all of this only being able to produce 10k a day, maybe in the early production days but i think by now Apple will have solved issues and ramped up production.

it is almost certain that they have an amount stock piled somewhere, even as we speak they are probably producing and adding to that stock pile.
