Hi guys. I have a qi charger and once I place the iPhone on it without any case, it keeps sliding off. I’m not sure if it’s slowly moving cause of the magnet or something.

It doesn’t slide of right away, but it’s slowly moves in increments and eventually after 10 min it slides off the charger. Why??

Which wireless charger is it? Is it a flat ‘puck’ style charger or a tilted one?

Do you have vibrate enabled for notifications, texts and calls? Some have noticed that the vibrations over a period of time moves the phone off the charge pad.

Nope, no vibration. It just falls off on its own

I’ve seen lots of reviews on various QI chargers mention this about different phones.

In general, Amazon reviews for different chargers are frustrating. I’ve tried to buy one 3 times now but the reviews are scary. Lots of talk of overheating iPhone 8s. Or the charger only working with a very specific placement onto it. Or the charger losing connection before finishing. Or the lights on the charger being too bright when trying to sleep. Or even the charger itself catching on fire.

Then you’ve got the givens that it is slower and may not work through a case.

I’m not sure I should even bother.

It always slide off same direction. I got a leveler and my night stand is perfectly leveled.

I have to use a case at night now to charge the phone lol jheeze

I have the same problem with my iPhone X. I am using a Samsung wireless fast charger. iPhone X keeps sliding off after a while when I use it without a cover.

I just got two of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KJL4XNY/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?psc=1 delivered yesterday. Both worked flawlessly last night. I have set the phone down in different directions, and it immediately starts charging. There's a little texture to it, so the phone doesn't slide around. It just works. Very convenient. I'd like to have about 4 more around the house.

It’s the glass back. My 8+ did the same thing when it was naked. Slapped a leather case on it and problem solved.

I have this Samsung version with no issues. I had used it on my 8 plus for over a month before the X.

Look at the different colors and make sure it is sold by Amazon. Prices can be $31 or less.

Fast charging of course doesn't work as that feature only works for Samsung. Still a good quality charger and the cord is just Micro USB and could be replaced if needed. The versions that Apple sells use a proprietary cord.

Samsung fast charger has a stand at the bottom you place the phone on so it doesn't slide off.

Mine was sliding off, then I realized my charge was sitting un-level thanks to being an old house. Leveled out the charger and now it never moves.

Thanks for the heads up. I’m guessing the LEDs continuously “breathe” throughout the charge? My wife and I each want one on our nightstands but she couldn’t even deal with the single charging LED of a Nintendo 3DS when plugged in at night.

I’m a bit confused as to why obnoxious LEDS are on every charger. I get that you want to make sure you put it down correctly, but you’ve got something even better in a giant phone screen that can make a big animation to show it is charging or something.

No. The LEDs light for 10 seconds to let you know that it's charging, and then turn off.

I had the same problem with my Anker charger. Woke up in the morning and my iPhone was on the floor. :(

P.S. no scratches or damage though.
