AT&T's site opened 5 minutes early for me! I thought it had to be a site error but I clicked through and got my iPhone x 256gig Space Gray for November 3rd.

.... then I watched and waited for my friends to order theirs at midnight.

Apple is now accepting pre-orders for the new iPhone X through its online storefront and through the Apple Store app.

The iPhone X features the first major redesign Apple has introduced in years with a 5.8-inch OLED display that is nearly bezel-free with no Home button. It also introduces a TrueDepth camera that supports a new Face ID facial recognition system and it supports Qi wireless inductive charging.

Apple's iPhone X is in high demand and all of the rumors we've heard suggest supplies are incredibly limited. Those hoping for launch day delivery should order as soon as possible, or a months-long wait could be in store.

Pre-orders are currently available in the first wave launch countries including Andorra, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Japan, Jersey, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, the UK, the US and the US Virgin Islands.

All of the major U.S. carriers -- Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile -- are accepting pre-orders for the new devices. Major online retailers including Best Buy and Target are also accepting pre-orders starting today.

Pricing on the iPhone X begins at $999 for a 64GB model and goes up to $1,149 for a 256GB model. Pricing for iPhone Upgrade Program customers starts at $49.91 per month and goes up to $56.16 per month. iPhone Upgrade pricing includes AppleCare+ support.

Customers who successfully place an order for launch day delivery can expect to begin receiving their devices starting on Friday, November 3, the official launch date for the iPhone X.

I feel bad for anyone trying to use the site, which was still down after I already placed my order with the app. I placed my order only seconds after the app was back up, taking just a couple taps and paying with Apple Pay. I ordered the 256GB in Space Gray and my email confirmation says "Ships in 1–2 weeks". Yikes. Supply is tight.

Apple couldn’t connect to ATT’s reservation system but it says they have a phone for me. Wonder what the ship time will be.

No problems. AT&T tried to queue me. Went to Apple Store app on iPhone. Had favorited per the article this week. Ordered fairly quickly.

256 Space Gray on AT&T. 11/3 delivery.

iPhone X preordered! 256 Space Grey. Outrageously expensive and there's the notch & if I don't like it I'll return it. but I haven't paid 4 a phone since the 4s. I dropped it and got a free upgrade. This will hopefully be a significant upgrade from my 6s. I finally switched carriers so I'm going from a $75 plan to a $45 plan and I'll pay it off in the Spring. I'm salty because my Corporate discount gets me 15% off in store, but we all know it won't be available until next Spring.

November 3rd!

The app went live at around 9.02, the website took a good 11 minutes to show up.

Got a reservation number because "carrier site is down" or something, using the Apple Store app on iPhone (which loaded first for me, between that, desktop Apple store site, and AT&T site). And of course I didn't write it down! Did say I'd receive an email to finalize the order. Bah, I'm going back to sleep, I'll cross my fingers and if it didn't go through, I'll assume this is the universe's way of telling me not to get it. ;)

edit: OK OK, I then placed an order through the desktop site, which seemed to go through? We shall see...

Ordered the Silver 256GB via the Apple Store app for Nov 3 delivery. I also had the AT&T app and site up. They still have me in waiting lists (10 mins on app, 6 mins on website). I'm going back to bed!

Good luck everyone :)

First year for me that the App hasn't worked. Soon as it didn't I jumped straight onto the website and thank god I did. Pick mine up in Edinburgh next Friday :D Going to be a long week :p
