It’s funny how long it was in beta. All the way until 12.0.

To be honest, both mine and my wife’s battery life have remained steady since day 1. I do know that not all batteries are created equal. They can come with 105% and all the way down to 98% from the factory. These numbers are not exact, it’s just a way to say that not every battery will come with a true 100% capacity. Some more and some less, maybe we both got lucky.

I’m down to 94%. Got it just this Jan. 2018. Might be coz I keep charging it once it’s down to 50% so at least 2x a day.

50-100 twice is a cycle. 0-100 once is also a cycle. It’s best to keep it above 20% whenever possible. Shallow discharges are better.

What do you mean by “shallow discharges”? Charge it before it reaches 20%?

Been using my X for 4 hours this morning with mostly safari searches and a little youtube with airpods, Marvin App open in the background and its already down to 40%. On ios 12.0

It’s better to top your battery off than to let it get below 20%. 75-100% 4 times is much better than 5% to 100%. Lithium ion gets unstable when it’s in the lower extremes. Use it how it’s convenient for you, but I always throw mine back on the charger around 50% and I was still at 100% when I traded my 8+ in to buy a max.

0% indicator is not actually 0%. It’s about 10%.
I’m aware of that. The fact remains lithium ion batteries do best between 20-80%. This is not viable for most people. The bottom 20% is harder on the ions than the upper 20%. Use your phone as you please.

Launch day iPhone X, bought from Canada, 94%.
Charging only with the included charger from the very beginning, and constantly using the pattern 20%-80% charge for the past 5 months or so.
Judging from my usage habits and from charging the phone every 2 days approximately, battery must have around 180-200 cycles.

Still on iOS 11.4.1 till all little issues are addressed on iOS 12.
So far, so good for me.

Don’t have it anymore but mine was down to 88% after 10 months.

I bought it on launch day, very heavy user and it days 87%. Could it be I let my phone die and don’t charge it throught the day but only at night?
Probably the use of the fast charger that caused mine to degrade so much.

94%, I’ve had it since launch.

Mixture of wireless charging, in box charging, and crappy aftermarket battery cases because Apple refuses to make a new SBC.

Got my X a week after launch. Showing 100% here. I charge both wired and wireless. I do not let my phone go under 50% before I charge though.

Thanks for the info. I want the phone to last at least til next year before I upgrade so I hope the battery will last longer.

I sometimes use fast charger too. The 61W usb-c for the macbook pro for faster charging

That’s the fast charger I have.

100% launch day X. 99.9999% charged wirelessly. Always on the wireless charger when not in use. Rarely if ever goes below 70% battery charge.

I’m kind of concern about my battery now after seeing the battery usage of others after a year. They at only like 95-97% My iPhone X is 7 months old and I’m already at 93%. I charge with iPad adapter or my 24w anker adapter.

My previous X that was purchased Nov. of last year was at 95% capacity when I sold it about 2 weeks ago.

91% - purchased during launch weekend last year. Only charge with lightning cable and use 12W iPad charger to do so.

What is considered a full charge cycle? Is it 0-100? So if I charge my iPhone five times at 80% does that count as a full cycle?
