iPhone X - scratched out of box

Hello all! Happy iPhone X day!

I just received delivery of my iPhone X silver and I noticed two things.

1) the stainless steel band has a deep scratch up on the top right of the phone ( see picture)



2) also is anyone else’s display have a slight purple tinge to it along the right side while in portrait?



Other then that, absolutely love this phone! The display is so bright and colorful and the size makes typing on this a dream.

I know I can just go in and exchange for this issue, just wondering if anyone else has these issues out of the box?

Hey there,

The scratch is unacceptable! Hopefully you can get the phone replaced. As for the discoloration; maybe the adhesives in the phone for the glass still need to cure. I'm seeing a lot of people complaining about color issues so far in here.

There is no glue drying with the iPhone. That is a terrible myth.

Yea, the color issue isn't that bad, the scratch is a bit annoying. I will go later today and see what they say, I also made the next available Genius Bar appointment.

Keep us posted. Seems the silver stainless band is easy to scratch.

Will do! This phone really is amazing other then that! The Speakers, screen, size, camera and build! Wow!
