My iPhone X is unresponsive in the cold. I’ve never had an issue with any of iPhones ever and it can get pretty cold here in Canada. I’ve used my iPhone 6-7 in -20/30 degrees (celcius) with no problems. 20-30 seconds after leaving my house my phone will stop responding.

I’ve seen a lot of threads regarding this issue. More specifically on reddit.

I went to the apple store today and spoke with a genius. They told me it’s NOT a known issue and that the phone’s ideal usage setting is between 0-30 degrees (c). Then again, i’ve never had this issue. She asked me to restore my phone claiming it could be software but that doesn’t change anything.

I’ve been able to reproduce the issue consistently.

Has anyone had the same problem?

Thanks! Posted this 2 days ago and it got no traction. Glad it finally did!
