I'm in Germany, Berlin currently. And just went to buy some stuff for my office and had to go through three different stores to pick up the fkn Toner for my printer, and I saw that the silver iPhone X 64 gb is immediately available in these stores:

Saturn
MediaMarkt
Vodafone

And yesterday a few friends went to the Apple Store in Berlin and got themselves two black 256gb ones, walk ins, no reservation.

With an increasingly decrepit iPhone 5, I've been in the market for a new phone for a while and I waited for this release. I'm not actually surprised that there's relatively easy availability of this phone (and also almost immediate availability of the 8) so soon after their launch here. Prior to the annoucement I was set on buying whatever came out until I saw the pricing and the capacity options of the 8 and the X. (No 128 in either model - hmmm?) The pricing / capacity options has really has put me off. Perhaps I'm not the only one then?

Using a retired iphone 4 as i gave my 6+ to a family member and was also awaiting the X, but also put me off so bought 5,9” phone from competition on one year contract and hope apple Will bring a iphone plus like phone with thin bezels and no notch next year. I really like ios over android, my new one has awesome hardware but running on android, which feels somewhat unsafe compared to ios.

Ordered my X 256 Space Grey last night (12/1) at 8pm through Verizon website. It was shipped out this morning, with a Monday, 12/4 delivery! It said the silver ones still wouldn’t ship until at least 12/13. Color is irrelevant to me, though. I keep my phones wrapped in a case at all times.

Speaking of which, does anyone have a recommendation on a good case that still allows for the wireless charging?

This is the 27th day in a row all Apple Stores in the US and Canada are sold out of iPhone X. For those keeping score, that’s every day since release. Also extremely limited across the World. This data is tracked by istocknow which is linked to Apple.com retail locator.

You people hoping for low X demand are going to be wrong when they post numbers in January.

Apple had production worked out long before preorders began and were confident they could meet demand for the most important time of year. That’s why they guided for $87B.

I’d be MUCH more worried if they couldn’t make enough for the Xmas season. This is going exactly to Apple’s plan.

I have 7 Apple Stores in my city and countless ATT stores. I couldn’t get an X unless I rushed to an Apple store in the morning. They sell out every day.

I’m not saying I couldn’t get one...I’m saying they ALL sell out by end of business every day.

Are there people "hoping" for low iPhone X demand? Who?

People who hate Apple or hate the X are hoping that they are not a small minority. I don't really understand the hate. There are plenty of options if someone doesn't like Apple or the X, but do not get upset that most people love the X.

I just haven't seen much (if any) of that around here. Plenty of "I love the X" and "the X sucks," but not really hopes that demand and sales will be poor. But perhaps I haven't been paying sufficient attention.

I get not liking the X, but why does it matter whether it sells well or not? I have noticed some people who hope it doesn't sell great in the hopes of a future price cut, but I think that's a different thing altogether.

And on the flip side, let's say someone likes the X. Why should they care whether Apple sells a lot or a few? Does this outcome make them feel better about their purchase in some way? Seems odd.

Unless you're a shareholder, it doesn't seem to me that it should matter much one way or another. (And even then, if you're holding for the long haul, Q1 earnings sooooo doesn't matter.)

29th day in a row Apple Retail is sold out of X.

Retail sells customers on X until there is none left. Not all of these customers had planned on buying before they walking in. That's the way it's supposed to work.

It means people are buying this phone every day versus it sitting on shelves like almost every product in America and then has to be deeply discounted to sell.
