i went to apple store, and i wanted the verizon model. i use tmobile, but in the future i wanted the flexibility. i paid in full, and they said that only the sprint model was in stock. i went for it, and he assured me that the model is exactly the same as the verizon, is this true? i booted the phone up first, with my tmobile sim only, and removed the sprint sim right away even before first boot. am i ok?

Yes, assuming it worked for you and you have service,

Mind running the Verizon bring your own device check to see what they say about your sprint iPhone?

yes, have service, and all working ok. therefore i can use any carrier in the future, correct?
You should be good if the Verizon website says you are good to go. Just in the future tell people you have the unlocked iPhone x from apple.com I'd leave off the Sprint part as it's got such a bad connotation

tried my IMEI a few times, and the page just tries to load -- 3 dots going back and forth, and no results appear

Maybe it's not in the system yet or maybe they don't like sprint phones. I just ran an old tmobile iPhone 6 plus and it comes up as good to go.

What happpend if you have insurance on tomobupe or att and need your phone replaced? Will you get the cdma version or the carriers version.

Wait, so I am able to pay in full for a Verizon phone at the Apple Store and don't need to provide account information?

I am on my company's plan and I don't know the account details so I was hoping I could just swap the sim from my current phone into the X. I wish there was a SIM free model available now.

Wait so I can get a Sprint model? I hate Verizon's money grubbing here because it makes me overextend myself to get a CDMA/GSM model, especially since I may stay on T-Mobile or switch to Verizon in the future.

yes, i got a "sprint" branded phone, and didnt do a thing, all they want is your $$$

When I was in line to pick up, there must have been 20 people walking up to the line coordinator asking to buy the iPhone X, all were turned away saying you must order online and have a reservation.

So you may have to wait a while for the demand to die down if you want another carriers phone.

Never activate on sprint . If u do they will flag that device as 50 days contract not met . Though it's unlocked imei check shows contract term. Not met

Did it ever work on the Verizon BYOD check?
It did not online. But swapping sim worked with sprint unlocked iPhone x on Verizon

Well, I can't buy a Sprint or Verizon one online. Only hope is for a Sim Free model or reserve a sprint or Verizon model in the Apple Store.
