1:10 mark below, Fisher said split-view can be done with "some" apps but still as versatile as iPads. No PiP either even though Plus models can do landscape mode on the homescreen.

iPhone 7 Plus, 1:10 mark

I prefer Nougat's split-view which I only have on my V20 because the screen is bigger and decided to leave G5 on Marshmallow. Reason being? I like to read and comment on YouTube while another browser app is playing another YouTube video above it.

Genuine question, and no criticism intended at all, but why do you have three top of the line handsets, all released within the last ~6 months? (Particularly the two released within 9 weeks of each other)

I’ve always been curious as to the thought process.

With phones, could understand buying one and replacing with another in fairly short order, but having all three in operation seems counterintuitive- unless you have 3 phone lines? (Work, home etc)

I like the latest gadgets and can afford them. Some people have many luxury watches but can I let ever use one at a time. My co-worker has £100k worth of watches but can only ever use one at a time. Some people don't understand this either.

In all fairness, the Note 8 and X are the best devices you can currently buy.

Because nobody except fringe users want it. It’s a party trick that is cool to show off and then that’s it. There’s not enough space on a phone to make it useful, and I’ve used it before. I don’t think I have ever used it on my Tab S2 either.

If Apple allowed us to, you would use it and love it.

Nope, don’t try to put me in the group that magically loved everything when apple does it. I have the ability to use it right now and see no point in it. If you want it, go to android/Samsung.

Soundhound app letting you doing this inside their app, you can watch YouTube on a tiny window while using the app. Dont know why Apple not opening it completely if the phones\iOS capable of doing so, unless they want to keep this "highlight" for future iOS...

So it’s a party trick because you don’t find it useful. Those like you crack me up. If it isn’t useful to you it’s a gimmick or a party trick as you call it. If you don’t like it that’s fine. It’s not for everyone. I can see why people think it’s to small. But for some like me it’s actually useful.

It would be massively useful. I watch a lot of YouTube, stuff like linus tech tips or tech review channels where you don’t need to see things in great detail. I could easily watch some Netflix shows in the background whilst I am typing this post right now. Or have the football on in the background.

If you open the Netflix app and take a look at the size of the thumbnails you could happily watch a video that size and just flick it around the screen with your thumb like you do on an iPad.

I used to use this on my Galaxy S5 all the time. And the iPhone X has a bit more real estate to play with.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play (SEX PLAY), Yotaphone, and Meizu Pro 7 will never get any love for their uniqueness.

Where has Apple copied the most from? Mostly HTC followed by Palm and Motorola.

HTC One M7 = iPhone 6 (4.7")
Zoe = Live Photos
Antenna lines
BlinkFeed = News Widget
Dual front speakers
Gesture controls
Always listening
Wireless charging
Fingerprint scanner
Raise to wake
S-Pen = Apple Pencil

HTC One M7 and M8 were truly remarkable devices that influenced Apple just like how far ahead Palm was with gesture swipes and wireless charging back in 2009.

Motorola is the father of phones. Everybody is influenced by them. Fingerprint scanner in 2011. Always listening and raise to wake in 2013. I rank where Apple copied most from is HTC, Palm, and Motorola. Then Palm and Google in software.

It's a Apple/Samsung duopoly. Palm is all but forgotten. Sony and Nokia aren't what they once were. HTC, LG, and Motorola will never get their props.
