what do you mean? the guy wanted to know if there will be a solution for display zoom.
we would have been happy if this was available on the X.
what are you LOLing about?
i thought you'll spend your time with your new toy, instead of wasting it on these threads. weird.
i presume the X is already boring?

Sarcasm??
The plus isn’t better. Some might prefer it over the X, but it’s certainly not better. Holding the plus next to an X is akin to holding the original iPhone next to a palm treo.

None of the above.
If you have a plus phone, there's an option in Display&Brightness for “Disolay Zoom.” What it does is make the plus phone use the regular size phone UI.

I have a 4.7 iPhone 6s and I use Display Zoom all the time. I don't think its just a Plus feature. I love this feature, my eyes aren't what they used to be.

Never really got around to playing with display zoom. That’s actually a pretty neat feature. Works on my 12.9” iPP as well but not on my Mini 4 which would have been nice, but not really surprised about that one.

It is such a pity. I want to love the X. Believe it or not, bought it the day after release and after 2 weeks returned as lot of apps were not resized and was missing the zoom feature. And with so much to like on X, just bought it again given that there were improvements.

I worked on the phone extensively before buying second time; i.e testing the text size on the X vs. zoom etc and with Calendar, Maps, Email etc ....I thought I got the "fix" and it looked good...so pulled trigger.

But it still turns out that when trying to "enter" something or type something, the text reverts to small. Its not a big difference but someone who needs reading glasses it makes all the difference. Mainly because i travel a lot and when trying to look at intermediate directions/stops (I travel between US and NL), the smaller font may need to be readable without glasses as I am hopping between metro vs. train etc.

Is it too much to ask to get that feature? I originally thought Zoom might not be possible due to aspect ratio, as the original phone zoom worked on the normal phone aspect ratio...but the real killer is when typing text etc, how the input fields come...and I see how dynamically it is respaced/resized in my iphone 7 with zoom feature. I used Zoom since Iphone 6, 6s and 7 (I have every version of the phone since I transfer my phones to rest of my family as I upgrade).

Unfortunately I might have to return it again....as this is bugging me. I thought with the OLED crispness and tru-tone it will make up for it but unfortunately not.

In conclusion, I think zoom feature "can" be made available as where it really matters is in the input forms and text readability which clearly was something that can still fit into X framework (even if icons may not expand).

I left request few times. This is a real bummer as if this is not resolved in due course, not sure what to do ...as I really feel the plus size is tad too big/heavy for me (especially in travel). Apple is losing some business here....and I am losing on experiencing a great phone.

PS: Also I love to keep my cases minimalistic (or only skin), and with iphone X even with applecare, it seems risky/problematic...also a second reason. When handling X without case, it is Awesome !

I’m coming from an iPhone 7plus and I have to say that I’m really bummed about the size of the text on the iPhone X. I have a hard time reading small text and typically have display view zoom active on my plus. When I turned in the iPhone X today I was disappointed to find no zoom function. I understand the screen is not as wide but was hoping to be able to use this phone to replace the larger plus. This is not the case. :( I love the phone but even with all the larger text options enabled, the text is not large enough in safari and a few other applications. I know that most people will love the new phone but if you are like me and need larger text, you might want to use it before switching.
Its fine to me. Tech reviewers are blowing it WAY out of proportion... which is disastrous.

Its just a way to spark an excuse to bring negativity of a brand new release of an iPhone

IT IS FINE DO NOT WORRY

Edit: oops was looking and talking about wrong thing. Would text size increase work?(;;;

If you don't want smaller text, don't buy a smaller phone. How hard can it be?

I'm not sure if we will get display zoom. With the other non-X iPhones they just took the resolution from the smaller iPhone, so little programming needed.

Lack of display Zoom was one of the reasons I canceled my order for an X. This might not be a big deal if you have great eyesight but it was for me. I bought an iPhone 8 instead and use the zoom feature along with increased text size. As for Safari. I have suggested to Apple many time to please allow an increased font for older or bad eyesight problems. Taking away Display Zoom was a deal breaker for me.
