Yikes.

Monster computer that makes calls and all sorts of stuff :)

But really, why is this so good? Is it like you run out of ram....on a phone?

2GB of RAM showing it's staying power....

bodes well for A9 devices in the future.

Well the iPad pro has 4gb ram and is very powerful and without lag, so 3gb ram on the X should be plenty, also it's supposed to be 10-15% faster so maybe this is a better improvement than more ram

There are tons of tests showing iOS efficiency is leaps and bounds over android. It’s incomparable. YouTube some videos on how many safari pages you can open on 7+ without page reloading.

It’ll be fine for the iPhone. Only reason the iPad has 4 GB is because of having 3 apps open at the same time.

Ya totally agree with ios ram management, just would have been nice to see the upgrade to 4GB, the thing is the price of the phone and it looks like the only difference to the 8 plus is the design /oled and few software tweaks,OK front camera and sensors, it's like the 7plus had a few up on the 7 with better screen/battery/ram/camera/ui landscape. It looks like people are going to pay top dollar for design/oled/front cameras and a different user experience, don't think it's going to outperform the 8 plus, for me it should be a step up all round to be considered next Gen and price wise

Apple really penalizes people wanting the smaller screens, don’t they?

2GB on 4.7”... for the 3rd time now? Yikes,

Good thing I wouldn’t be getting it anyways

Even 3GB for a $1000+ or some sorta premium price, on the iPhone X, feels like some obvious bean counting

I want an A11 that laps A10x, and has 4GB too. That would be something,

Do i have to have 4gb does iPhone iOS dictate it? No, but would be sweet to have a device on parity with top end tablet offerings

Agree, the iPhone 8 with 2GB is enough RAM for now but will require 3GB for future iOS. That why you should get the X and be future proof!

Additional GB to 4GB would hamper Apple's goal of making the iPhone obsolete within 3 year life cycle! Just because Galaxy 8 has 6GB RAM, Apple felt that it needed to offer half of that to look fair to potential buyers.

Apple acquaint small with entry level buyers. Entry level buyers in any item get the bottom of the barrel in offerings!

I believe the iPhone 8 Plus will be the fastest model and will have the best memory management. With the added features of the X and the better display specs, that ram will be swapped more and the cpu/gpu will be used more.

And why would exactly you need it? Because it provides better performance or would “make you feel better”?
