Not really. I have my moms iPhone 6s which was the phone i use before and the iphone x. Can easily adjust gestures to gestures quickly one way or another. Both are good i like both but do i miss touch id? Not really. I wanted a full screen phone that runs iOS.
I put my fingerprint on her phone cos sometimes shes a bit slow so sometimes I jump in quickly and solve her issues if i need to.
For me i like new things. Put simply this is a good implementation and i love face id so much!

no not at all I am beginning to really Like the Face ID pretty cool stuff.
I have two phone (work and life). It’s weird using my work 7 after using the X a while. I can’t fully explain it but I stumble a bit remembering to hit the Touch ID instead just of just swiping.

No. I do not miss Touch ID at all.
Face ID works so well that you basically feel you're unlocking the iPhone with the swipe.
I do not see any reason to have "Attention" turned on, so it's really quite speedy.
I don’t miss Touch ID. Still have iPhone 7 Plus that I open occasionally, and I’m actually a little annoyed I have rest my finger on Touch ID to unlock 🙂
Honestly, I do miss it at times. Face ID works great a lot of the time, but is slower than Touch ID. It also doesn't work if your face is too close (say you're in bed and trying to get into your phone... you have to hold it farther)

My iPad Pro reminds me how much better FaceID really is. Touch ID is quite clunky by comparison.
I miss Touch ID. Having to position the phone a certain way toward face and swipe upward I find not as easy. I am betting Apple will include Touch ID and Face ID on upcoming phones. Apple just does not want to admit that right now, they would lose too many sales. Please bring back Touch ID Apple!!!
Apple will never admit their future plans for any unreleased iPhones, that's just how secretive this company is in general. However speculating, but I don't believe Apple will resort back to touch ID in the future. When they said Face ID is their future, I do believe them and I think the iPhone is only the beginning of where Face ID will lead into other products as well.

No I also think that this is the end for Touch ID. After Apple spent all that time saying that Face ID is better than Touch ID and calling it the future they really can’t go back on that.

To speed up FaceID, go to Require Attention for Face ID and turn it off.
Everybody I know personally who's complained about speed has left this turned on, and most of us really do not need that.
With it turned off, you lift the phone up and swipe, and you're done. That's how it works for me, anyway, and I'm perfectly happy with it.
As far as including Touch ID on future models, both Apple and Samsung are working on technology that would allow fingerprint security on the touch screen, without having to use a home button.

I miss touchID like I miss floppy disks and 8track cassettes.

I have the iphone se before my iphone X. It has touch ID but never used it. I actually didn't even have a passcode. I do however use face ID. I really never go many places and always home. It tried it and was forever frustrated with it. The face ID works pretty well for the most part.
My son wanted to look at my phone a couple days ago when I was at his house. He laughed and said, look up Mom. I did and he chuckled thanks. It was ok because I have nothing to hide.

Only in a situation where I'm having lunch & can't prop the phone up on an angle to face me & keep the screen awake. I used to unlock with Touch ID whenever the screen auto-locked, but now I need to either move my face over the screen or tilt up the phone to keep it unlocked.
Also, Landscape orientation Face ID would help, as Touch ID prevented the need to pick up the phone when lying down to unlock.

Face ID is something that I am finding to be superior and more useful than Touch ID, generally speaking.
If there is a way to incorporate in the OLED a new generation of Touch ID, I would like to see that as an alternative security device for people who might prefer it or who might like to have an alternative. An OLED Touch ID should have a setting to disable on behalf of people who prefer the overall superiority of Face ID.
Nonetheless, Face ID is generally superior and more desirable.

When Face ID works, it's incredible. The prompt pops up, and my password is entered automatically, granting me access to whatever app I'm using. Same for unlocking the phone.
I can clearly say at this point that it does not always work reliably, and that I need to retry or adjust the phone sometimes which is bothersome. I'm optimistic for future revisions.

I think it’s expected that Face ID will never be fully consistent, but neither was touch ID. That’s the nature of technology in general, especially given this is the first iteration or version of Face ID. But we can expect continue improvements with Face ID through iOS updates and of course hardware releases. So technically, it can only get better from this point forward.

Wasn't sure if my sunglasses would throw it off (due to the anti-reflective coating on front & back), but Face ID didn't miss a beat. Same with my regular eye glasses.
It just worked, in glary conditions, under lights & at night, so I'm pretty impressed with its success rate thus far. & replacing the need to type passwords is very handy, as it was with Touch ID.
