With the launch of the new iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max, Apple has refined its iPhone lineup and has discontinued the iPhone XR and the iPhone 12 Pro.

The iPhone 12, iPhone 11, and iPhone SE are still around as lower-cost options, with all models getting a price drop. Apple's full lineup continues to be priced starting at $399:
  • iPhone SE - $399
  • iPhone 11 - $499
  • iPhone 12 mini - $599
  • iPhone 12 - $699
  • iPhone 13 mini - $699
  • iPhone 13 - $799
  • iPhone 13 Pro - $999
  • iPhone 13 Pro Max - $1099
The iPhone 13 models feature 128GB of starting storage, which is up from 64GB, with no increase in the price. The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max can be ordered with up to 1TB storage. The new iPhones will be available for preorder this Friday and will officially launch on September 24.

Anyone can tell me if iPhone 13 Pro has any new feature other than 120Hz and smaller notch that is not quite noticeable?
 
I’m still in chock they shave too done away with the lightning. Fun transferring Pro res video over usb 2. USB-C should be standard on at least the Pro models. Isn’t even thunderbolt and usb4 built into the processor? I’m almost sad they can’t even realize how slow and utterly useless lightning is. USB-C would have made such a difference for this device.

The 128GB base storage of the 13 made the iPhone 12 looks like the worst deal ever. 128GB iPhone 13 is only $50 more than 128GB iPhone 12. Great job Apple at nudging everyone to just buy the 13.

basically the only iPhone to buy is either the 11 if you’re on the budget (only $100 more than the SE for much better battery and modern design), or the iPhone 13 (only $50 more than the iPhone 12 of same storage size).

For once, Apple made the buying decision quite easy despite the lineup.

Night mode for all 3 cameras, ProRes video (coming soon), 2.5 hours longer battery life. There are others but I think those were the bigger ones you missed.

Isn't there a $30 penalty to buy unlocked phones this year?

Awww...I love my XR still. But yeah it kind of makes no sense in the lineup. Although really I fill that way about the 11 being there as well.

Some Cinematic mode where camera autofocuses on random face using RNG (random number generator algorithm) while videoshooting and 1.5 to 2.5 hrs more battery time compared to last year’s pro model

Yeah me too. Gave it as a birthday present and it was probably the best deal of the year! So glad I waited and got to take advantage of that one.

Well, there’s that, but I thought paying full price for any of the carrier phones will get you an unlocked phone anyway. Regardless, US prices are still great.

Wait till you see the prices in my country. I’m predicting base iPhone 13 regular starting at $1000…. :(
