Why buy a comparably priced copy......
Are you in the US or another country where lots of people buy iPhones?

I'm in a country where that isn't the case, even in a company where the company phone is an iPhone and I have a personal iPhone, I am in the minority.

It would be a sad world where everyone thought that the only phone one should buy is an iPhone, if everyone thought like that we would all still be driving model t cars.

What country are you in, I’m in the UK but travel a lot.

Well we currently live in world where it’s pretty much iPhone or iPhone clone, so.....

Or Samsung. ...

They seem to have everything you want.
What is your personal phone?

I'm in Australia and like the UK its not an all iPhone country.

we live in a world where Apple is not the only player in town, last time I looked, iOS (phone and iPad combined) had less than 50% of mobile browsing.
They seem to have everything you want.
I don't have any respect for the "They have everything you want" kind of statement.
What is your personal phone?
iPhone 6, I have always upgraded every 2 years, but have skipped upgrading the last 2 years because I wanted a headphone jack. And as you can tell, currently not Apples biggest fan.

Considering my options at the moment. Currently also have an Apple watch which I like.

Do you know the smartphone maket share in Australia?

Never said it’s the only player. I said it’s turning into and iPhone or iPhone clone world.

Except for Samsung.

No need to respect my statement, but android manufacturers are phasing out 3.5 jacks.

It’s going to be even less next year.

So....

Enjoy whatever device you decide to land on next.

yes

Well if you want a bezel less phone they are going to look quite similar.

I don't, its always sad to see people resort to if your not happy you know where to go...

I'm sure I will once I decide.

Care to share it?

Hard knocks regarding 3.5mm, not many options, even less next year.

Similar and and clone, not exactly the same.
Pixel 3 similar, everyone else is basically a clone

But that is the entire point of the notch, which refutes your entire premise.

Uh-huh, don’t think any of that is right.

If the android oems has a notch in their roadmap, they wouldn’t have made fun of it.

You can say that, because after said oems have introduced their version of apples notch, they no longer make fun any the notched displays. If your premise were true they would still make fun of it. Fair is fair.

Of edge to edge was coming as you put and it was planned, they wouldn’t also have a chin, which requires a different display. Android oem were caught with their pants down. Next year you should start seeing, android handsets without a chin, because while the were reactive and copied the notch they couldn’t copy the curved oled screen at the bottom to élimante the notch.

So no currently android manufactures have edge to bezel display. Wouldn’t be accurate to call it edge to edge.

They even copied the camera module on the back and most are removing the headphone jack.

Was that planned as well.

So they android oems did copy after all?
Your going back and forth.

It’s about accuracy and misrepresentation, not seriousness as your feigning.
Ok, you and the other person WIN. Make you feel better? I hope so, becuase I would be worried if you could not sleep at night knowing that other people have a different opinion on things. You keep wearing the glasses. I will go on and keep using my iPhone 7+ and my AW-S3C. Have a wonderful life.

Ok, I can't let this part go
But that is the entire point of the notch, which refutes your entire premise.
What if there were no FACE ID? Would the X still have a NOTCH? If Not, then why NOT?

There seems to be a lot of users confusing opinions and facts.

You can have opinion, but you can’t present it as a fact.

In relation to your argument/opinion, it falls apart when Face ID is mentioned, that makes it weak.

Sure, Enjoy your device. :)

Again, if FACE ID didn't exist on the X, would the X still have a NOTCH? And if not, then why not? Keep in mind, that Apple still would have released an OLED Edge to EDGE screen.

Why buy a comparably priced copy......

Why is he pretending all Android manufacturers are doing that? He's buying an iPhone because some copy it. Great.

Oh, and he's complaining about notche support and gestures. This guy is an idiot.

A clone in what way? Look up what clone means.

The early samsung was a clone, and they got hammered in the courts for that.
There have been no clones* since, apart from perhaps one blatant copy.

Care to show pics for each of the devices that clone the hardware and software look?

Three days after getting my iPhone XS Max, I shattered the rear of the phone. Any suggestions? I have added Applecare and I have insurance from Sprint.

I just don't want to spend hundreds of dollars getting this fixed. After I just purchased the phone. I'm devastated!!

Wel...you shouldn’t have broken it.

That said, you’re covered under insurance, the real question is why you’re paying for two separate insurance plans?

I never did and never needed it so far...
I saved so much money by NOT buying AppleCare, that i can easily pay the full price if any device should ever need repairing. ;)

Insurance is about peace of mind, the goal is to never use it.
