iPhone X’s Face ID can’t be fooled by identical twins

I like making money.. I have absolutely no problem with capitalism. This is how others perceive these giants. That's pretty much all I've heard since Apple announced the cost of the X.

Everyone likes making money it’s why we have jobs it’s why we invest and so on. You either want to buy the iPhone and you do or don’t, again I don’t see the problem.

My X is coming on Friday (I hope).. Space grey 256. The most expensive model I could buy. My only regret is that they don't have one even more expensive, cuz I would have purchased that one instead. Hopefully next year. The only thing that annoys me is that they won't take my money any faster.. I hate that I have to wait.. Been waiting since the keynote, and it's unbearable.

Listen, I don't have a problem with anything except my iPhone X delivery wait. I stated earlier that I'm pretty invested with Apple and other large Cap US corporations. They make money, I make money. My purchase of an iPhone X is a small contribution to my own financial future, and I urge you to take out some high interest loans, my equity fund will thank you..

Identical Twin is a medical term more than a comment on their appearance. Identical twins split from a SINGLE embryo... thus share the same DNA. However, conditions in the womb through birth can greatly effect the appearance of even "identical" twins. I know a pair of identical twins who look quite similar but I can tell apart. One of the twins received more nutrients in the womb and thus was born larger etc.

That said... Twins who are identical in the genetic sense and in the appearance sense will no doubt fool FaceID. All of which is irrelevant since protecting your phone from your Evil identical twin is the definition of edge case.

That’s why there is always a passcode. Once passcode is required finger and Face ID won’t work. As you hand over phone to police hold the power button for several seconds and Face ID won’t work.
 
So I know they said a picture wouldn't be able to fool Face ID but what about a video? Say MKBHD's friend picked up his iphone could he play a video of him to his iphone to unlock it? Doesn't worry man any was just curious if that would work or not.

No. It can’t 3D map a video anymore than a photo.

People come up with - how do you know that’s exactly what’s happening in reality?!
 
Face ID learns over time. I'm willing to bet, the identical twin who can unlock on day one, might not have the same luck a week or two later.
