iPhone XS Max iPhone Xs Max slow WiFi?

I’m using google Wifi and have no issues with my max. Stays on 5 ghz and gets slightly better speeds than my x and iPad Pro
 
Was contacted by Apple Support. Installed a profile on my phone to hopefully send them logs.

Curious what routers people are running when this issue occurs?
 
Other posters in here are correct; complaining about it here is fine but we have to let Apple know. I reached out on Twitter.
 
I noticed that WIFI is becoming slower and slower until you disconnect and connect again.
From that moment the wifi is fast but becomes slower and slower during the day until you repeat these steps again.
 
Have the same problems on my Xs max. Resetting network settings fixes it temporarily.

Running 3 AEXBs wired in a roaming network.

65MBPS is a high for me on WiFi

Get 115 at work but at home WiFi is limited and this is on fibre max here
 
resetting the network settings or forgetting the network fixed it temporarily and I get 245mbit down (isp gives 250mbit). After a couple of minutes, it's down to 50-80mbit

i've got the same problem on my XS. I'm using asus router and only XS has got this problem, the rest of devices (android or iPhone 7, ipad) doesnt have this issue. Its phone or model specific? Does changing phone change anything?
 
I'm also suffering the slow wifi. I have ATT Fiber 1000 and I've done numerous tests. 5 straight where the download and upload was in the 60-80 mbps range. I'll do the usual resets, etc. and get a good test, and then try later and get erratic results again. I hope 12.1 improves this. I sent my feedback to Apple support on twitter.

On my ipad pro, I also have similar issues running 12.0.1. I don't ever remember seeing slow speeds like this running anything 11.X.

My iMac on the 2nd floor consistently gets 400-500 down and up.
 
Most of users reports indicate that phone was changing wifi band from 5Ghz to 2.4 Ghz. In my case there is only 5Ghz.
 
I'm having terrible issues with WiFi on my XS Max, at work and at home. Work WiFi is all business grade access points and home is an AC router with the 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz frequencies separated.

I have constant issues with either the phone dropping off WiFi completely or it having perfect signal according to the phone signal strength yet it will refuse to download any data or even tell me it's not connected to the internet.

My iPhone X and 7 Plus on the same networks was always flawless as is my iPad Pro and my wifes iPhone 8.
 
You guys updated to 12.0.1?

I didn't have much time to test it as I had to return my XS Max last week, but it seemed better than 12.0.
 
Got same issues here... reset router reset network settings works for a while then it disconnects from my 5ghz band every mins... i disabled the auto join network in the settings for the 2.4ghz so the phone won’t auto connect on 2,4ghz but still won’t stay connected to the 5ghz band... phone will stay on lte until i reconnect to the network... Sometimes turning off wifi and on fixes the problem for a bit but starts disconnecting again...

I've noticed the problem on 12.0 and after updating to 12.0.1 it still exist. I'll return my phone.
I also updated my router firmware to newest version, made a reset to defaults settings and contact with suport.
 
The problem has to do with the new phones, im testing my last year X even my 7Plus and they don’t have this wifi problem. The X and 7 Plus are on 12.0 and the XMax is on 12.01... It really frustrating!
 
Brand new XS. I don't have this issue on my 6S that I still have.


Here's the issue. Wifi loading facebook or instagram videos (these are good sites to test on wifi) After a while, after a reboot, things are fast fast loading. After a few min and the rest of the day, if in WIFI in the XS facebook videos and instangram pages with lots of images and videos, LOAD SLOW, If I turn wifi off and use the network, it's INSTANT LOADING!


ANd ideas? Again, the iphone 6s is super fast on wifi, but the XS is not. Now, running a speed test in the xs shows same great speeds as the 6s does. BUt something is up with these phones as the wifi loading pages with images gets slower on wifi. Hope someone else can chime in....
