What’s really happening is that the 2018 Pro’s white point is closer to 6500K, in essence perfect white. The 9.7 Pro is around 7000 which appears cooler in comparison.

I choose the iPhone XS Max. More storage, better display, more premium build.

When an LCD panel is yellow without true tone, it's a mess. For a $1200 device? Yeah, no thanks. Pass.

Apple is still relatively new to the OLED territory, so I'll be patient with the quality control. LCD? They have had a very long time on this.

I shouldn't feel like I'm downgrading while dropping that amount of money. It wasn't buyers remorse, it was me comparing my old device to the new one and my eyes screaming.

The iphone 11 is the third model with oled panels and it's not new tech by any means. I would think with the iphone 11, Apple has sorted out all of the issues.

However, doesn't mean out of hundreds of millions of panels there isn't some outliers that are bad.
