Probably real, since it has been announced there is no longer a need for Apple engineers to hide them while testing. Also presumably some journalists have been given the so there can be detailed reviews at launch.
 
Absolutely fake (photoshopped). On the second and third photos, there is clearly a gap between the notch and the top of the phone. Either way, don’t care.

You do know they do field testing with new devices right? Usually they're disguised but the X is no secret anymore...
You're right and it's silly that people are so surprised by this. There are likely hundreds of iPhone X models out in the world today (99% are in the possession of Apple employees).

Looks like a reflection of light on the bezel actually.
 
What’s it matter? We all know what it looks like and know the details. If it is in the wild, great!
 
Notch is crooked in the second and third pictures, so definitely photoshopped.
