For those who have tried the PS and Wrapsol products, do these end up getting grimy and start peeling up around the edges?

Not at all. I haven't used Wrapsol Ultra, only the original (I prefer the matte finish of the body section of it) and they do not peel up at all. That thing stays put once you put it on.

I really think they have the most solid BODY protection. As for screen protector, I think all of their screen protectors are practically the same.

I think I may be going this route instead Wrapsol:

http://www.sgpstore.com/product_info.php/cPath/21_28_89/products_id/1461

They look nice, and the add is selling me.... then I will probably take off the front and put on Power Support when those become available next month.

I'm waiting to hear back when these will go on sale for pre-order.

For those who want a good combo of protection and clarity, what I actually suggest is getting Wrapsol, but with an SGP front. A few people are doing this. I think it's a good idea. Wrapsol will protect 10x better than SGP, but SGP will make your iPhone look like a chrome it's so shiny.

I had a Wrapsol on a 3G when they first got word on here, and it never peeled or yellowed. Plus the matte finish looked really nice, and matched my BlackBook at the time. I hope the new one is just as good, because I actually don't want it to be matte so it can match my MBP.

I ordered both ZAGG and Wrapsol. Not sure if ZAGG will ship now or if its shipping after the 24th??????

But once I get both I'm applying one to my wife's and one to mine. Will give a report.

I have experience with IS for 2yrs and it really did its job. I pulled the stuff off recently and my 3G is in pretty near good condition. Not a scratch on the screen although it did have the orange peel effect. And it took a lot of abuse.

After all the back and forth, I really think I'm going to go naked with this one. MAYBE just a protector on the back for when it's setting on counters, etc...

My Zagg already shipped. ;)

It depends on what you want. Do you want clarity? Do you want protection? Just scratch protection? Or drop protection too? Matte or clear back? Crystal clear front or more protection?

If you can answer these questions, I can tell you the best for your situation. ;)

I've been using PowerSupport products since before the first iPhones and use them on any device I can. However since they're not shipping until late July, I went with the Wrapsol Ultra(Thanks for the code BTW!). I hope this is really crystal clear like the PowerSupport ones, and won't give me issues when I dock it into my iPod HiFi.

wheres the code at? i might ima get Wrapsol too

I am looking for Clarity (crystal not matte or anti-glare) with good front and back scratch protection, dry application (not messing with wet sprays and waiting for it to dry for days) and maybe I will apply the sides all depending on the kit and how it would look.

I have a Power Support Crystal and I LOVE it... I would like to have that protection with crystal shiny look on both front and back with easy dry install!

The Power Support doesn't come out till end of July and even then no word on a back protection so I need something now and something good incase I have to keep the back protected if PS doesnt release one.

Thinking either Wrapsol or SGP at the moment... to many bad stories so far about the others so I think I am down to these 2.

I think you already chose your solution there. With what you're wanting you should do SGP or Power Support front, and Wrapsol ULTRA (dry application, non-matte) for the back.

I went with the InvisibleShield but am strongly considering the Power support crystal when it is released.

I've never used a "static cling" protector before. How easy is it to apply? If it's not lined up perfectly, can I just peel it off and put it on again without any problems?

Static cling is the easiest. And yes, you can remove and reapply as many times as you need. That's when you know you have a high quality product. ;)

Sounds great.

I always seem to end up with little bubbles, or the spaces around the earpiece and home key are not perfect, etc.

It's a shame they aren't shipping pre-orders until July 26th... I can't imagine that it would take that long to design it and make sure it is perfect. Maybe they are under an agreement to supply Apple stores before they ship to customers from the website? I don't know if Apple stores have actually stopped selling them as of yet.

The bubbles is the difference between a hard plastic with a sticky side and a tacky or cling film. Tacky and static cling films are flexible and aren't hindered by tiny particles and are made in such a way that 99% of the bubbles go away withing 72 hours.

That is a shame. I would consider Zagg for now. I bought a set just to get for release day until I get my Wrapsol.

x2

iphone 3gs = plastic
iphone4 = glass

iPhone 3gs had a glass screen

And if i am not mistaken, the iPhone 4 will also have a oleophobic coating on the glass. As reported here on MR, there are many cases of worn coatings.

I am not wanting the ones that are like sticky cling..... I've used the Power Support and I like the way they just lay on there and then cling to it and can be removed if not lined up.

Ive seen some other applications that literally are like a sticker and I don't want that.

Are Wrapsol and SGP kinda like the power support way of applying?
