iPhone4 with OS 4.1 retains 1.59.00 baseband

if you guys remove the Cydia server from iTunes hosts on notepad, iTunes will do the complete update and you will have the new baseband and u will not get error 1004

how do we remove it? even though i did not jailbreak my iphone (4.0.2) i did back up the SHSH. it will not let me upload =_=;

i used tinyumbrella if that matters

edit; nevermind i just opened umbrella and picked "kick out of recovery" hopefully this is safe haha. it is now 4.1.0 whoo

Has anyone noticed improved reception with the new baseband? I've been getting more bars in some places. I can't figure out if it is ATT upping the power, or if the phone is interacting with the network better.

Really?? Better signal with the new baseband?? According to at&t's website I should have great service here at my house and always did with my 3g and 3gs but the iphone 4 has been a different story. If Im lucky I have 2 bars of service, but usually cant hold a call most the time though....Better signal with be the one reason id give up my jb!! Unless someone knows a way to update the baseband only?? lol

what's the reference i'm removing in the hosts file? I took out the ip address for saurik's server but when i try to restore i'm getting unable to connect to apple's update server.
