I unplug my phone at around 6:30am each morning.

By the time I leave work around 4pm I still have 80% battery +.

I use it "some" of the day for gentle browsing, facebook, a few videos etc.

I don't doubt you at all. There's quite a great deal of inconsistency when it comes to battery life, iOS 6 and iPhone 5.

Given some time I believe Apple will get it sorted out. In the mean time celebrate the fact you have one that is not short lived.

I'm in no way criticizing the battery situation, as it's more a sign of a new iOS that simply needs to be debugged.

What I am quite disappointed in, is Apple releasing this with the number of unsolved issues it has.

I suppose I should have said MY iPhone 5 has a stellar battery. I do wonder about all the seeming inconsistency out there.

All I can figure is;
1) some phones have crappier batteries (?)
2) some people have different ideas of what consititues "normal" use.
3) some people have apps installed that are drawing battery in the background
4) some setting configurations are draining battery

Seems like 3) and 4) could be ruled out with proper testing, but it would be nice if iOS had a tool built in to help isolate battery drain issues... This morning I had some app that was running in the background, a restart didn't fix it, and eventually I gave up and just deleted about 20 apps from the multitask tray which fixed it.
