To most people MMS is stupid/expensive, when an Email will suffice.

...Wow, I want to live in whatever future society you live in! Newsflash, while MMS is common nowadays, it is by no means guaranteed (my last phone released in 2007 didn't do it either), and it's very common for cell phones to not support all bluetooth protocols, and it's almost rare for a cell phone to support video.

No, it's not a very "American" point of view. It's a non-phone centric point of view. Email is what most people use to send pictures and it is arrogant to expect everyone to be able to view or even want to view MMS on their phone where they could be charged extra for it.That's a *very* American centric view, and apple probably have the same view (hence they didn't include it).
In Europe it is very popular.

Get with the program. MMS is so last century.
Doesn't really prove the point in your favour! It's a car: of course it has headlights. It's a phone that advertises bluetooth as a feature: of course it has... Oh no, wait, it doesn't. It only has a faint whiff of bluetooth.when you buy a car, do you check to see if it has headlights?
wah, wah, wah.

I agree, it makes absolutely no sense to lock down the bluetooth functionality in the way it is currently. Apple were one of the biggest proponents of Bluetooth a few years ago. And now they're only putting in some nobbled version of it into their flagship product. They have bluetooth in all of these amazing computers they produce, and yet it doesn't work with their own phone. It's plain stupid.
I think you missed my point that not everyone has a cellphone let alone one that supports MMS. Some people are perfectly happy with a simple cellphone without a camera, no polyphonic ringtones and a monochrome LCD screen.Yet its not arrogant to assume that everyone has or wants access to email on their phone?

It is more likely that even those people will have access to some sort of email via a computer of their own or through cyber cafes.
Are you suggesting I need to sign up for some "access the internet" through my iphone data package?
Remember, I am not in the states, I am a soldier overseas...
