I mean they could just buy them from Greenland 😆
Yes, or even from Canada (well, he could have done it before he alienated them completely). He’s not “dealing” in good faith; he’s acting like a thug, and turning the whole world against us. Well, except maybe for his dictator friends in El Salvador and Russia.

The biggest issue that the US has now, and for a long time to come, is that big business doesn't like uncertainty.

It is about the only thing that there is in the US just now - uncertainty.

Again who could have possibly predicted this would be a consequence of the dumbest trade war in history.

Not only that, but tariffs make no sense when you don’t actually manufacture those products yourself. It’s entirely idiotic to do such a thing. Absolutely hilarious that MAGA doesn’t get that.

thats pennies hes investing to hopefully protect his buisness when a clearly unstable mad man makes a stupid ass presidential decision to totally screw up the world economy because he doesnt understand or cares to understand how tariffs actually work
That is contributing (through donations) to bringing this unstable madmaninto office.

First off he did it out of his personal money, not directly from Apple.
Not out of “fiduciary duty” but out of his own volition.

Tim cook as a private citizen can donate his money to anyone or any group he wants to. Thats his right. Whats next? we are going to be mad at Tim Cook for buying an overpriced couch for his home? common people.
Tim Cook’s choice of a couch does not promote political authoritarianism or meaningfully encourage affect consumer prices and the world economy.

Some people say its him "Bending the knee" but sometimes in life you got to bend the knee to keep things flowing the way they should and protect your interests. Thats how the real world is, especially for major corporations.
Major corporations? It was Cook’s own money and he didn’t have to do it, you said!?
I get why people are mad, to us a million dollars is more money then we will ever see or spend at once. But to the head of Apple...thats nothing. thats pennies
Hundreds of businessmen donating thousands and hundreds of thousands of dollars more than just pennies to a politician’s campaign.

Tim did this to protect Apple and keep the business going durring the reign of king Trump the Orange who clearly is mentally unstable.

(…)

At least tim has the forsight to curry favor with someone ahead of time, to protect his buisness!
When you’re not not only keeping quiet about unstable madmen but actively support their election with hundreds of thousands of dollars…

That to me is the sign of a good leader
…that to me is the sign of a great sycophant.

It’s also how countries go down the slippery slope in polarising a nation, losing decency in political discourse and ultimately eroding democracy bring authoritarian into office.

Supporting unstable, authoritarian madmen just to keep your business raking in record profits - I get why some are giving Timmy grief.

Tariff exclusion or not, during the month of April, All 16 inch M4 MBP’s have quietly disappeared from the Apple refurb site. You can still get a few 14 inchers in M4, but not 16inchers. You can buy M3’s and M2’s, but for how long?

I could see the handwriting on the wall in March, and right before the April 2 announcement, I bought a 16 inch MBP M4Max for $3499---$600 less than a new one but with all the same kudos.

Gone now in Refurb. They won’t be back until the M5’s or M6’s show up. Even if the tariffs are excluded for electronics, China is collapsing, and may not be able to produce them.

Evidence of this collapse please.
