The recent update just knocked me down 10MB, but I've got more memory than usual still.

And I don't see why everyone's complaining, I'm having no issues and a lot less lag.

i dont think you notice much of a difference in speed of apps, in fact, you might be lagged a bit when you free up memory in SBSettings.

However, open a few apps and background them...open safari, mail, Ipod...whatever you want...and check your free memory.

Anyone else noticing longer than normal boot up times? I am seeing about 30-45 seconds longer than normal. Once it gets up and running, everything seems to be ok though. I am still loving the ability to background more apps and I have not experienced any crashes either.

I personally don't see the need for this since I have the 3GS but this seems amazing for people with the 3G and 2G if it works well.

How's the experience so far?

I found it on the repo, but there are two versions. What's the difference?

Well... V2 adds the Plist file but then they updated the original to have the plist as well...

I don't really like this repo as there is no real good change log or documentation.

I'm just running the regular one and not the one with the V2.

Wow! This worked for me. I now have a constant 75-79MB of available memory.

I think the swap file is located on the Media partition, I had 659MB available before install and now have 403MB.

This is excellent. Gives my iPhone 2G new life! :D

Yea no kidding. On my 3G I used to run almost no MobileSubstrate apps, but now I have a good amount (Still no Winterboard though :p) because it still runs great with them all installed.

Yeah I have a couple MobileSubstrate apps. I have Cyntact, BossPaper and Reflective Dock installed and I SSH'd custom SMS balloons in so I really don't need Winterboard! Still on 3.0 as well. I'm not planning on updating anytime soon. My iPhone is a lot "SNAPPIER" now, I love it. :)

I had tried this application out before the update came out sometime last week for it. Things worked really well untill I launched cydia and updated the phone. Then I had really bad lag issues with all my applications. I had to uninstall this app to get it to work. Any chance a new version of this will be released with updated code, or should I just try to reinstall the updated version of this?

do you people not understand how ram works? first of all virtual ram is obviously going to be way slower than actual ram. plus, stop looking at how much ram you still have available. its hilarious seeing people getting all ecstatic about "omg theres 70mb free now! woo!". you do realize your ram is MEANT to be used right?? or else it gives you absolutely no benefits whatsoever.

repo

i can not get the repo add to my phone to get the app for vm. can someone help:eek:
