ipod or dell dj

i just want to put all of my cds on one mp3 player and i have quite a few cds. also the dj does not need musicmatch to sync it the new one supports win media player which i just used to put two cds on my friends rca lyra with no problem and it was fast. i would buy the ipod if it was a little cheaper in price, im hoping they go on sale or drop in price because the new ones came out. thanks again for the advice and i would still like more convincing towards the ipod.

I don't mean to be rude about it, but you seem to understand (and others here have further elaborated) features of the iPod that make it more appealing than a Dell DJ. It seems that the major issue for you here is price - and if your budget is so tight that despite your knowledge of the above (and I'm assuming that the iPod Mini is not a consideration, though you should probably have a think about that), you are still unsure, then get the DJ.

No amount of pontificating about advantages is going to change the cost of it - and there will be no price drops after these new models because they slot in above the prices of the current range. Try eBay, try the Apple special deals section, but if you're after something new and quickly, then don't put yourself through the pain of tossing them up, just get the DJ. However, I would recommend (as others here would) to wait until you can get that little bit extra together to get the iPod, because you will get a far better return on that investment.
