Nice. I was expecting something similar to the iPhone ads, but this showed all the features at once, and worked.

Nice ad, but was surprised by the music. I work at sears and its in one of our commercials that's been playing for over a year (I see it every day I work in electronics---ugh). Usually Apple picks songs that seem to come out of nowhere. Still like the song just heard it way too many times.

i like this too! its cool having a load of touches doing different things.

can someone explain why the forums are pretty empty today... i'm sure that normally this would already be upwards of 100 posts!

Yeah I like it too. As for empty forum.. I can only speak for the northeast...

1. we are shovelling and pickaxing out from yesterday's sandwich of snow, freezing rain turned to ice, more snow ---> aka "snow lasagna"

2. It's really cold today and will be colder tonight. So after we get our cars unglued from the driveways and driveable for emergency travels, we are chopping kindling and bringing in firewood and stoking the stoves!

ah thanks!

really strange to see a dead page1 thread!

well, speaking from the UK, its about 3 degrees celsius, gray, and pretty dull. i dont think theres any special reason why people should be drawn away from talking about a fantastic new add!

Was posted at 5:41am EST (around the slowest time of day), and then got bumped down by other stories pretty quickly. So just timing of day.

Is there a way I can save this to my computer? It only lets me save a reference video... I don't have Quicktime Pro, is there a way around that?

ad

i like the new ad and think when people see the abilities of the touch they will want to get one

First time for me!

Okay, i just sold my Zune 30 on ebay last week and took the plunge and bought an 8GB iPod touch on Tuesday. Now, this is my very very first Apple purchase in my life. Yes, i have gone many years without an iPod. I am so extremely satisfied with my new iPod!!! Syncing with Office Outlook 2007 is a snap and extremely convenient. This device can do more than my PDA, its amazing and im now hooked on Apple.

I think its funny how one of the iPods plays Sleeping lessons by The Shins when its used in the Zune commercial.

Yeah thats what i was thinking, i love the shins so the first time i saw that zune commercial i was like oh my god! I also like how Paramore's crushcrushcrush video was playing on the touch at the top left

Me? I'm still waiting to see a two-finger zoom-in of an Penthouse-style photo!!

;) ad like this make me a very proud 32G ipod owner...any ad for the NEW MBP-coz i got one:)

Congrats! Mine is only 8Gb but I still love it. And I can't stop playing that ad, I put it on repeat in the kitchen while I was making lunch. Great video.. I love how the iPod touch were casually placed, not laid out on a grid by someone with a square and ruler.

I'm not liking this ad too much.

It tries to convey too much information using too many screens and too many reel cuts. It seems like the objective is to confuse the customer rather than help their decisions.

However, the iPhone ads of previous were atrocious. The old iPod Touch ad, however, was better than this one.
