just get a skin from www.bestskinsever.com very cheap and fantastic quality. I used to be paranoid about my ipod photo when i was in school, but after somehow getting a few scratches on the screen i just thought it was bound to happen. You obviously don't have to put the ipod in the same pocket as your keys or anything else that is going to scratch it, but don't be too paranoid that you don't end up enjoying it.

i was the only kid in my school with a touch, so all the people came to me.
now about 10 people have them, and whenever someone goes "CAN I SEE YOU IPHONE IPOD THINGY?" (that makes me so mad, calling it an iPhone) i just say, "No, go and ask _____)
one girl actually sold her horse so she could get an ipod touch!

I can only imagine what High School would have been like if we had iPod's in my day (Class of 99). I say get rid of it and then enjoy your life. Sounds like things are going pretty well if this is the worry of the moment. Buy a 2G iPod and become more popular for being so Indie.

Yeah but the Nano and the Shuffle have been out for a few years now, so everyone knows them. Classic is just the previous iPod, so people are unlikely to call it iClassic now.

my school has about 1,700 kids, and i know of at least 1 iphone and 3 ipod touches. soon to be 2 iphones
