iPod touch iPod Touch won't turn on

my itouch wont turn on

please help me!
im stucked with my ipod.
it wont turn on.. i was charging it when after few minutes it turned off and i cant turn it on anymore. i tried pressing the reset button and home button at the same time but still doesnt work.. i also plugged it into my mac book but didnt help. please help me figure out how i can make dis work. by the way this was jail broken a year ago..pleas please help me

you might be stuck in a DFU mode or just looped try the following a few times to see if this helps. Since you are using a PC and you might have other conditions try the following steps if this does not work PM and I will set up a web session and try to help you face to face.

Hold the power and home buttons down (the iPod will power off after 10 seconds, but keep holding those buttons down)
After the iPod powers off, release the power button (but keep holding the home button down)
After a couple more seconds, you should hear that magical “ding dong” that means the iPod is coming back alive, and that Windows has detected it. You may even see a little “New hardware” popup in Windows. It is now safe to release the home button, and your iPod is in DFU mode.
Now iTunes will see it as a DFU mode iPod and should ask you to automatically restore its firmware.

My mom's iPod

My mom's iPod has been dead for a while and she finally gave it to me to charge it. Nothing happened when I plugged it in and I had it in the wall charger all night nothing happened. I tried holding down the home and the power button while the iPod was is the computer but that didn't work. I'm think she got it wet. Any information would help thanks

When I tried to downgrade my iTouch it gave me error code 20 and then it gave me error code 3194 and I think it got stuck in recovery mode but then I tried to put it in DUF and it went to a black screen but the thing is that i have no idea if it broken or what. I would really really appreciate it if someone please help me

Hi, I think I am going through the same problem as the one above. Ive tried all of the steps that people have suggested, but none have worked.

When I plugged in my iPod Touch v.1 into my PC and turned on iTunes. It did not find my iPod. I held in the power and home button for about 5 -10 seconds, but still nothing happened.

If anyone has or is going/been through this, please, just post what you did to resolve it. If there is not a solution, I will send it away to Apple Repair and Inspection Centre, to see what they can do.

ok so yesterday, i was taking a shower and i left my ipod in the mirror while playing music. so i got out and changed to my clothes and everything. so then i turned it on, and it kept on getting dim and bright then dim and bright over and over again, and it kept on turning off (where it says slide to turn off or something like that) and the volume kept on going up by itself. so i decided to leave it alone and turn it completely off. after about 15 minutes, i wanted to hear some music, but it WOULDNT turn on and it got me worried. the sign wouldnt show at all. i have an ipod 2g. ANYBODY PLEASE HELP ME!

OH GOSHHH Thank you everyone that replied about the plugging in and pressing both buttons it worked gooosshhhh! I WAS ABOUT TO DIE!!! okay so here is the thing, I jailbroke my ipod touch with greenposi0n the other day, well it worked fine. (I also did this to a few of my others friends ipods as well) But I clicked on cydia and it was loading and my friend took it and was getting impatient and it froze. So I decided to turn it off and well now when I try to turn it back on it refuses to and it will bring me to my apple and then the loading icon, well when I plug it in it will consistitly make that "ring" noise that nomal ipods make when you plug it in. How do I fix it so it can turn on again?

Hi everyone.

My iPod Touch 4g is cracked. Yet it's working perfectly. Or was, until about 2 days ago. I am so frustrated. It was working perfectly well even though it was cracked and now...I feel like a part of me is dead.

Please, anyone, H.E.L.P.
Please, I dunno what to do. I restored it but nothing happened. I know that the iTouch itself is working because I took screenshots and pictures with it and it connects normally to my PC, but the screen is black. It isn't jailbroken.

What do I do? Check the connections? Restore again?
P.S. There aren't any Apple stores closeby and I've had it for a year already, so the warranty's down the drain

I had the same problem as nova-6. but it still doesnt work so.... any other ideas?
