Great news! Let us know about youe experience!

Well, as you noted, typing isn't always that easy, I've also quite stubborn fingers. I play guitar, but feels like quick typing would need more precision than tapping on a guitar. :D Anyway, the screen is gorgeus and performance in video and audio quality is amazing. Audio isn't as good as on my 4th generation 20GB iPod, but gets close. I use primarily 128 kbps AAC or 160 kbps MP3. I have found out that especially when typing for an example emails in Gmail etc. in Safari it's easier to hold the iPod horizontally, you get bigger keys! Even though the actual screen estate is smaller in that occasion, I find it's easier to write that way. Also a huge problem for me is that there is no ä or ö. Or æ or ø either. Anyway, videos, photos, music and Safari are all amazing. I love to browse photos and music on it. The Contacts and Calendar are also useful, if I don't have my cell phone anywhere near (which is rare). Anyway, the iPod has a big screen so it's nice to use, but lacking the opportunity to add events into the calendar is plain annoying. I've got my phone, computer and iPod all synced anyway, so I can add the notes on my phone. The world clock and timer get really handy at times, too. Anyway, it's a cool device!

Okay, thanks for your great mini-review. My feeling is quite similar to yours.

This tip is quite helpful. I will do that from next time. Actually, I found that it's easier to read and browse the web if I hold it horizontally.

Perhaps you can go to the Settings and change your keyboard layout from "international". I am not sure though.

I agree. The interface is so cool and intuitive.

Yeah, being unable to add events to iCal is surely very annoying. You can try the hacks available for that. I have not yet done that.

Got it a bit over 2 weeks ago(TNT was fast btw did take 1 day to deliver) and love it. It did all what i was expecting + browsing was almost better than i imagined.

Things that i'm not liking are damn itunes and some say it make transferring easier...dunno might be so for some, but i would love if it would just show as hardrive :(

Other is that it could be a bit more smarter and open, but i still think this was right way to go when my other option was Archos 605.

Didn't work....the international thing. It shows Chinese characters alright, nut not ä or ö, not in Finnish, not in Swedish. I mailed Apple about this.

Also, I'm not very eager to hack my touch. I like it better original than bricked :D

One thing I remember I've had to ask. Do you feel that the Home button has to be pressed hard? The Home button works, but it feels a bit hard to press. It's not enough to press it so that it only clicks, but you have to apply quite a bit pressure on the button even after the click. Have you felt the same?

There are indeed å,ä,ö etc. You will need to keep that basic letter pressed for a second or so and a line of similar letter will appear. It is not very convenient at all though, makes typing long messages in local languages very slow. For example, if you want to type "ö", keep "o" pressed for a little.

The international keyboard setting might just be for dictionary purposes, but don't quote me on that.

I think Lindstrom has the answer.

Same here. And update 1.1.2 is impending. It will again mess up with the jailbreak.

I haven't yet removed the transparent sticker from the glass cover ;) However, I have noticed that too. Also if you want to pause while playing, you have press the "play" button a bit harder. Just tapping doesn't work.

Oh yeah, right. Now I got it to work. It's not the most logical way for me to use it, but I can manage somehow. I think you are right concerning the dictionary purposes.

Yeah, I know. It is a bit messy to type at the moment. Who knows, maybe Apple decides to release more localized keyboard layouts in the future. Maybe the SDK release will see to that as well.
