i think the person who said that the patent concept pics could be the different touch screen modes could be on to something. though i still think touch screen on a full screen ipod is a bad idea due to dirt and scratches, this touch screen idea for games is great. the ipod seems just big enough to hold with two hands like a controler and the touch buttons would retain the simple look of the ipod. plus this would open up all kinds of new avenues for the ipod. like text typing , the i phone ( although the italk concept is a great idea), ichat pod and any other type of user interface required apps. pluse the interfaces could be designed to be anything since the whole front will be a touch screen much like playing mini games on the ds (mario 64 ds). this would be sooooo cool i hope this is what apple has in store for us.:D

For the life of me I don't understand why Apple doesn't add a whole lot more features to the Nano. I would pay $250.00 for this Nano knockoff if it had Apple's software, scroll wheel and used iTunes.

They don't add a whole bunch of features for much the same reason that Nintendo isn't shipping the Wii with a DVD player, etc. They want to keep the product simple and focused on what it is designed to do: Play music (and now video).

If you really want your Apple iPod to have these extra features, you can always install, or even dual boot, Linux on it.
