number 11 (the one that says "this is indeed fake" looks more real than any of the others to me. However, I'm at work right now using Windoze Ex-Pee and all the pics in IE are dithered, so some of the detail isn't there.

The video's fake because of the tape. If I went through all the trouble of writing Chinese on the tape and all that, I wouldn't throw it away. Where's the beef, Mr Trickster? Where's the beef?

Previous all-screen iPod rumors said 3.5" screen in an iPod of the same dimensions as the 4G and 5G. The Flickr photo on the other hand seems to show a smaller margin than that--more like 4".

Now TS says Apple has opted for a 4" screen instead of 3.5" (after considering both) and that such a device (tied with an iTunes movie roll-out) is expected--possibly in the spring, but the timing is dependent having movie agreements in place.

I lean towards real on the original photo, and fake on all the hoaxers trying to take credit 😛

And the thing is, if the product IS real, that STILL won't make the photo real, because anyone can guess what such a thing would look like. The proof could come in the form of specific details in the actual product though. Like if the margin is off, or if it actually DOES contain that test image 😛

My mockup based on TS's specs: note the margin. If the screen is truly 16:9 AND the margins are totally equal all around, then the dimensions wouldn't be identical to the 5G. (But the black area around any LCD gives Apple some wiggle room.)

I think this new rumor pretty much validates that the earlier photo was real and the video a hoax.
