iPod iPod with iSight?

isight on an ipod not quite, but the iphone is what I have believed to be the upcoming

wi-fi-touch-screen-video-ipod-mobile-me-portable-ichat-extension of your iLife in your pocket type of device.

I really don't see apple producing something as mundane as a cell phone.

I know most of you don't either, but I think this device will be more than what most are thinking.

I don't know - I have a good imagination, but the batteries wouldn't last 5 minutes on what 'my' iphone could do.

Personally, I think there'll be more than 1 iphone:

- A mini cell phone that can do calls/texts; same size as nano (& same functions)

- An all singing, all dancing, multimedia platform with camera/video/recorder/wifi/pda/insert function here.

That way, everyone can have an apple phone

For taking pictures, and also using as an external iSight when hooked up. Seems kinda dumb to combine the iSight and iPod though.

There would have to be something cool like this in the next iPod for me to justify the purchase. If its just hard drive upgrades, I don't think I would want it. I mean I am sort of starting a collection with my nano, shuffle, 4G, and 5G and wouldn't mind a 6G...I just hope there is a pretty big change

I don't understand this whole "I'm going to take pictures on my phone and then upload them to my computer and the internet" thing. News flash people of the world: all cell phones take crappy pictures. I don't care if they're 3MP, it's still going to take crappy pictures because all the little bits of crap that are in your pocket or purse get onto the lens. I love iSights, but they are by no means great cameras either. They're for fun, not function. Putting one on an iPod for the purpose of being able to take great pictures is child's play. If there are ever cameras on iPods, all that means is there's going to be more pictures all over the internet that have to be viewed at 170x100 pixels to even tell what it's a picture of. Stupid teenagers and their drugs. Rant over.

These all-in one, but do each thing in a very mediocre way, devices really piss me off too. But I won't rant about those. No sir. Not today.
