What more do you guys seriously need? This is an awesome screen protector! It's better than the power support and it's better than spigen ultra optics!

I just installed this and I must say clarity is much better than PS version. I think smudge is a little more noticeable than PS but I didn't wash my hands before installation. I'll see if it bothers me or not after more time of usage. It's not grainy like the PS I think because the film is thinner. It took me longer time to install since I like to line the film as perfect as possible. The home button cut out is very close making it harder to align around the button.

Is this the same as the Belkin Anti-Smudge/Anti-Glare one from Target??

So I bought a pack of the Iris Anti-Glare screen protectors and they're definitely clearer than then PS AG ones! Of course it's not 100% clear but it's a lot better than PS AG when it comes to noise and sharpness.

Great find!

How are the cutouts? Is it one for the camera, speaker, and home button?

I recently had to return/exchange my phone. The first one I bought the PowerSupport screen protector for it. And yesterday when I got the new one I decided to try this one out as I had read this thread a few days ago.

Power Support

- Zero Glare
-Zero fingerprints, like none at all.
-Perfect cutouts. One for the cam, one for the light sensor, one for the speaker and one for the proximity sensor
-Tiny bit of loss in clarity. I'm not super anal about the screen clarity but will admit their is a noticeable difference. The colors are a lot more matte.

Iris

-No glare, negligible difference between PS and Iris
-Not as fingerprint resistant. It's not too bad but it is closer to a clear film when it comes to fingerprints than PS
-Two cutouts. One along the speaker that extends further left.

-Almost no loss in clarity for an anti glare film. It's pretty much as advertised in this aspect. This is probably why it has a fingerprint issue. But for legit no glare but no loss in quality it works.

Personally I think I will give the Iris about a weeks use and determine if the fingerprint issue bothers me more than the slight loss in screen quality that the PS comes with. I am leaning toward PS just because I'm not that picky about having a screen that is 90% as nice but with less prints.

I've been using power support forever and I definitely know what the rainbow effect was about.

the belkin's is definitely clearer on this aspect
as a trade off, the power support have much better smudge resistance, which is one of the main reason I started using PS a long time ago

power support have slightly larger cutout for the home button, but both have exact same height for the earpiece.

Hi can someone tell me is the home button a full circle ? And also does this cover the full glass edge to edge ?
How well has it held up

I currently have the same screen protector on haha. I'll post a picture.

I could not stand the Iris. As soon as I cold get my hands on a powersupport anti-glare I did. Yes the screen quality is worse with the powersupport, it is still way more fingerprint resistant and the film is a lot smoother. If your hands were slightly damp, the iris would stick.

How do u like it ? What kind of pouch u have it sitting on ?

It's the hex wallet case, I'm actually returning it later the day due to the inconvenience of making/answer calls. I know first world problems haha but hey if I'm going to be keeping an iPhone for more than 3+ years might as well have something accommodating, right?

But the screen protector is perfect! I love it except I had a minor drop from my desk that's why the left corner edge below has a bubble but I'm getting that fixed today at the apple store. The iris screen protector comes with 2 screen protectors, so i have another one to replace it with. :)

I just bought and installed this screen protector and it is impressively clear for an anti-glare film. There is a faint shimmer/haziness to it that keeps it from being crystal clear (a necessary evil of the anti-glare design), but remarkably it has virtually no effect on the sharpness and detail of the display. Text appears to be just as sharp and un-pixelated as it does on a bare screen - just ever so slightly veiled by the shimmer/haze. I personally can't stand most other AG films, including the Power Support, because of their negative effect on display sharpness and detail and this is the first, and only, film of this particular breed that I'm happy with in that respect. It's not perfect, however, and the shimmer/haziness does bother me a bit as does the texture which seems to have a slightly higher coefficient of friction than the PS and Steinheil AG films. I'll keep it on for a while to see if I get use to it, but I suspect I'll probably end up taking it off before too long and possibly finally give one of the glass shields a try.

FWIW, the only AG film I've used that I've been 100% satisfied with from an optical standpoint is the NuShield DayVue film, although in all fairness it's technically an ant-reflective film rather than an AG film (NuShield also sells an AG film). The DayVue is absolutely crystal clear and exhibits none of the negative attributes of AG films, but is fatally flawed in my opinion by the fact that it is much less scratch resistant than almost every other high quality film (AG and non-AG) that I've used to the point that after a month I had to take it off because the scratches all over the film were driving me crazy. That said, I tend to be hard on my devices, so YMMV in terms of the scratch resistance of the DayVue.

UPDATE: Any moisture on your skin increase the friction to a degree I haven't experienced with any other screen protector. This could be a deal breaker for me.

I have been using the Iris for about a week. I used the Powersupport Anti-glare on the iPhone 4 and that is what I wanted for the iPhone 5 but apple was out of it so I tried this.

While it is extremely clear, it is definitely not as smooth as the Powersupport was on the iPhone 4... I can't speak about the iPhone 5 version.

Can anybody that has used both comment on the feel of each? Also, does the Powersupport really alter the retina display that much? The Iris does not change it at all... I am wondering if I will notice a difference if I switch to the Powersupport.

The PS anti glare is smoother because it really prevents fingerprints. The Iris doesn't do a great job of preventing fingerprints but it is easy to wipe off than a crystal sp. The PS looks more grainy than Iris. I would say the Iris is between a crystal sp and antiglare. The Iris film is thinner which doesn't have the strong antiglare effect and isn't as grainy like the PS.

Yeah I've switched back to the PS. The iris is not anti *smudge enough

^all i notice with the iris is the oily reflection tbh.

however i did use the PS for a while so im very used to it

I've used the PS many times on my iP4 and iP4S. I personally prefer the Iris. Cuts glare and fingerprints/faceprints about 75% as well as the PS but much better image quality. No trouble wiping the smudges off the Iris.
