I don't believe battery wear is covered. If a new MB is released this year, I may do like you and upgrade, depending on the specs and price. I doubt I will have a problem selling this MB, should I ever want to. I wasn't going to get ASC+ but, decided to anyway.
So I would have to buy AC+ within 60 days from ordering?

I feel that 2017 MacBook 12 has a better LCD panel, possibly due to panel lottery (better contrast and colors). Bluetooth works reliably with Airpods (BT 4.2 vs 4.0). Great battery life as well. Now I am ok to wait longer for an updated version. Love my 2017 MB, thanks guys!

Great to hear, I think my 2017 is a real impressive piece of technology, exceeding my expectations day in day out. Most people don’t give it a chance, but more people should consider it.

Well, after seeing Apple release 2 repulsive iPads today based on old, stale and tired designs, I don't have much faith that a new MacBook will be appearing this year.
I truly thought that Apple had dropped that boring old iPad design with the home button in favour of Face ID, rounded bezels etc and now today, the customer had been given these rehashed pieces of trash in order for Apple to make purely - money. Needless to say that I was never an iPad fan until the iPad Pro launched last October.

Not impressed with Apple's direction on this and sadly, it doesn't look good for a clean, new MacBook design.
My MacBook is 2 years old now and the keyboard is starting to feel tired. I'm hoping that a new MacBook Pro with rounded edge on the screen like the iPhone X and iPad Pro will be launched the year. That's the direction that i'm heading with now.

I am peeved I didn’t buy the 2017 macbook last year in Feb. Waiting was the dumbest move ever, and waiting every month for signs of a new macbook were completely in vain.

I did the same thing. Waited and waited for something to replace my 2015 m3 MacBook and they never updated. I finally had to break down and get a refurb 2017 (that feels much faster).

With Apple's recent update to the iMac line, the writing is on the wall that they aren't making any major upgrades to the more consumer Macs until they go ARM.

Even then, I'm nervous about the 12" future. I think Apple wants us all to get on iPad Pros or MacBook Airs and a 12" computer that runs MacOS is becoming increasingly niche.

Yeah, even though the 2015 base model is much faster than my 2009 Core 2 Duo, it still lags. Basically the lag is gone in the 2017 base model. In addition, the 2017 base model has a better keyboard.

Even after all this time though, I'm still not a huge fan of the trackpad. The clicks just aren't as substantial as the clicks on my decade old MacBook Pro. And the FaceTime camera royally sucks.
