I find Siri pretty useless, Siri was only cool when the 4s came out and people used her for jokes.

No because I've never found that much use for it or Google Now for that matter. Although the Google now travel time map is kind of nice. Its probably just me but I always feel kind of stupid talking into the phone like that.

Siri used to be pretty useless but I have started using her/him a lot more in the past couple of months. Things like setting alarms, simple calculator functions, turning bluetooth on, calling people while driving through bluetooth, searching for businesses around me, navigating to home/work, and other stuff like that.

I especially like how she can set alarms especially in the morning when I don't wanna open my eyes up, I can just hold the home button and ask siri to do it :D

Very useful for me. If you feel uncomfortable talking to Siri through speaker, you can easily hold the phone to your ear to communicate and you can speak naturally so it sounds like you are having a conversation with an actual person. I don't mind communicating through speaker in public because I couldn't give a squirt of piss of what strangers think of me.

With the Moto X always listening for the "secret" activation phrase, it has it's drawback because anybody can activate it when passing by if they say It. People can really screw with you.

I live in Sydney Australia and have never had a problem with Siri on my iPhone 5S. Sure there are occasional 'black spots' where Siri tells me to try again later but the responsiveness on the iPhone 5S compared to the iPhone 5 has been fantastic.

Well two big ones are dialing while driving, esp. from a big contact list, along with sending text messages and email while walking or driving. You can voice dictate emails, messages, etc. and don't even need to look at the phone when hands-free, or have it dial without having to divert your attention from your route.

Another is locations. I don't use iPhone for GPS navigation, but if you quickly need to find something nearby, you can ask and it is pretty darn accurate, and superior to most car navigation systems.

If you are sitting down or at a desk, no, I don't use it. But if you are on the move and can't type, or need your visual attention directed elsewhere, that's when Siri is very useful. You can operate the phone without looking at it.

That's how I use it at least.

I also imagine people with poor hand-eye coordination use it for typing. The transcription is very accurate, the best I've seen.

Ok great. If that works for you ... :)

Siri has always been useless (and I mean seriously useless) about half the time for me. Apple really needs to improve it for it to be considered acceptable IMO.
