Would a low cost iMac spell the end for the Mac Mini? Two years without a refresh for the Mini. With the BYOM (Bring Your Own Monitor) concept it's been the low cost option in Apple's lineup.

Very interested in this WWDC to see that if there is a low cost iMac, does that basically replace a higher end configurable mac-mini, and then the mac-mini only comes in a Arm-based/Apple TV/media centerish kinda form with an A7X chip. *shrugs*

The rumored low cost entry level iMac maybe??? Lower power consumption, less heat, less expensive....

Why would anyone want less power consumption for iMac, which is pretty great as it is. If Apple gonna put their A chips inside, iMac will become bigger version of iPad without decent performance abilities. Which will be pretty much useless. It will be compared to a toy, and not a desktop mac.

I'm so glad they will come at WWDC! I need my new computer quite badly. Too many beach balls on my 2009 MBP (Not that it is running that bad for a computer that old, it's just that I expect a pretty high level of performance for everything I do).

I want as low of power consumption as possible albeit not to sacrifice performance.

But expect more efficient chips used as much as ones used for performance if not more so. The iMacs design and quietness as it's prided on can't handle the heat of ultra performance stuff.
