I'm going for the 42mm sport. Only real difference is the bands and not having sapphire glass cover but I'm getting a glass screen protector anyway. It is the lightest watch of the apple watches.
I honestly doubt that the Apple Watch has a great resell value.
Just look at the other smartwatches.
Once the 2nd gen is out, nobody wants the first gen anymore...
Yeah this is the problem. An iPhone seems to sell for a lot on resale because most people buy on contract ($200) then sell to people buying off contract ($400 after a year)
With an Apple Watch the problem is that people buying used are looking at new prices, and with the base model starting at $350 any "add-ons" will be undervalued. So SS will sell for more, but not a lot more than a used Sport model.
As long as the bands are interchangeable between generations, those should hold their value. But the watch itself won't because the tech will be changing too rapidly.
So I'm 90% sure I am going with the Space Grey sport, and if I buy another band it would be most likely the stone leather loop. But i'll probably just stick to the sport band as I don't want to be swapping it every other day.
