I'm not being judgmental. I don't think my employer would consider the release of the iPhone "something important". I just meant that I was hoping someone else was in my position. I have a training seminar that day, so in this case, I don't have a lot of flexibility.

Sorry if my post came out the wrong way. Didn't mean anything by it.

You're fine. I have a bit of a chip on my shoulder about the whole "normal job" thing, so it's partly my fault. I work from home, work very hard, and provide for my family, but many people think setting my own schedule means it's not a "real job".

No harm, no foul. Best of luck getting your phone, too.

;)

I'm out of town on the 24th and 25th. Having it shipping to the store and will pick it up when I get back on the 27th.

I'm stuck in the same boat :(. Gonna be in SC until the sunday morning. I want to say I am happy since I will miss the activation rush and possibly server crash? But at the same time who doesn't want to get it the first day.

Worst part is that I will miss the fedex truck by only a few hours. I leave the house around 11am. Doubt they will make it by then :(

I am aiming for 2-3pm pick up time. I have to work till about 1pm and travel an hour to the store.
