Is anyone experiencing unending syncing between iOS18 iphone15ProMax and iCloud?

I'm going on day 3 and the iPhone is still syncing w iCloud. I don't have a giant amount of data. my iPhones have never done this. syncing is to iCloud, not my iMac. Boy that was a mistake.

Not me. But try to log out of iCloud and then log back in and see if it helps.

Learned a lesson. Will never backup to icloud w my iphone again over a wireless router. Just stopped the process
