When I looked at the benchmark of the White MacBook and the 11-Inch Air, I could not help but scream. An ultra thin notebook, and nearly the world's thinnest notebook was able to be 2.5x faster than the white MacBook. Imagine that. Imagine 2.5x. The White MacBook got 2000-3000. The 11-Inch i7 went to 6500-7100.

It's amazing how fast technology gets faster. And the machines are only 2 years apart.

Most of the other notebooks that Apple had out in 2010 could easily beat the white Macbook. Remember, the MacBooks never had top of the line components in them anyways so it didn't take much for the higher priced notebooks to beat it.

I'm not switching (to a 13 in Pro) until

a) I have enough money for it :D

b) My White MacBook begins to slow and isn't supported by Apple anymore

Nice. I plan on using mine for a few more years at least before buying another Mac which will likely be used as well.

I'm still using my 2008 black MB also and it does everything I need it to do today just fine.

Do you have a unibody MB? My Macbook lost support with Mountain Lion.

I'm thinking I might wait and upgrade to a 13 inch rMBP when they release it.
