Ok not a MBP but my C2D mid 2007 white macbook is still going very strong. Upgraded to Snow Leopard, ram from 1GB-->2GB, swapped my HD for more capacity and had to change battery as performance was getting annoying after 5 or so years of use.

Would massively recommend a MB to anyone and anyone who thinks it should only last for a 3-4 years before dying either doesn't look after it or doesn't seem value money in my opinion. Great to see so many going strong :)

I've used mine pretty much everyday since I got it and in that time its travelled a lot and got me through 4 years at university with it being left on a lot in the process. To this day I cannot fault it, its served me very well and doesn't owe me a thing. As much as I love it though, the pull of a rMBP, ideally with Broadwell or Skylake is tempting me to consider putting this great machine into semi retirement. But for now it ploughs on

I'm pretty amazed on how a mac life span is I've had a mid 2010 13 inch MacBook Pro that's been the best laptop I've ever owned I was originally a windows user but when I saw the MacBook Pro I fell in love with it the specs are a 2.4 ghz intel core 2 duo processor with 4 gigs of ram and a recently upgraded 250 gig ssd. I just wanted to know how many of you have mid 2010 macbook pros still kicking around.
****, its 2017 and I'm still rocking this computer. Just replaced the battery and keyboard. I guess the battery was swollen, I'm no computer expert, so I had no idea that could happen, but it ruined the keyboard. Nevertheless, my parents have purchased 3 pcs in the time that I've had this puppy. Hoping for another 7 years with this bad boy.
