finally! both my ipad and iphone is showing the same place when using "find my iDevice"... before ios9.3 my tablet was in another dimension and somewhere else than it was - althought it was next to my iphone and in front of me. now they are in the same place =}

That seems related to iOS 8.4, are you still on that version?

Either way, definitely take it in.

I agree with taking it in. The Genius guy didn't seem surprised and specifically said 'I've seen this many times, ' when he told my options. Maybe he was just BS'ing me, as he could tell I wasn't really excited about a wipe and a fresh install - but he told me that fixes the problem 'in most of the cases he's seen.'

Doesn't mean it's a 'gate', Apple is bad or anybody here is calling someone's baby ugly. I think it falls in that category of general technical issues that impact all devices.

BTW- Jury is still out on how the reload impacted the GPS/battery issues I was having. On the plus, the GPS worked perfectly yesterday when I drove about 130 miles around the metroplex. The bad news is the battery is still off. It drained at a regular rate (finally!) but then powered down at 42% and displayed the dead battery icon.

Unfortunately the 'fix' of wiping the device and reloading it as new didn't work. The GPS still works intermittently. It was a bit of a pain as I was out of town on business and was counting on it to help me navigate around.
