Is Apple going out of their way to cripple Siri?

Another problem is that if you try to make phone calls from your iPad using continuity through your iPhone, it works fine through the FaceTime app but it doesn't work through Siri.

The lack of attention to detail in iOS 8 just shows you how rushed it was.

Same exact thing. It's nice having a phone for each platform for comparison.

Weird. I just tried it and she called right away. She didn't confirm anything first. Perhaps the difference is I spoke a longer name, so it's easier for her to identify compared to a single syllable contact name.

I hate Siri because when you have no data is don't work.
It SHOULD use voice over when there's no data connection so I have it off all the time

By simply using Siri correctly, you do not run into this problem..

"Hey Siri, Dad is my dad (alternatively father)"

From now on no more asking.

Tried it with a longer name. Same thing for me.
