Your best bet for a rock solid device is buying a refurb from Apple. It won't be the latest model though. Each item there gets special treatment and lots of testing before going back up for sale, unlike the zillions of devices spitting off the assembly line every hour at Foxconn

I have a 6 Plus sitting in drawer for 2 years it never bent. I use it as a glorified iPod. Runs iOS 12 pretty good.
