For what reason do you doubt X will run AR differently from 8 even though both are using the same A11 CPU?

Actually, no, you should buy the X, and you need to buy the top model with 256GB storage. I heard AR not only requires A11 CPU, but it also needs OLED screen and minimum 256GB storage to run well......

Dammit, when my 8+ gets here on Friday im going back to the store to return it.

As of late, I haven't seen any good info regardless of "whinefest."

AR is affected in the front camera. Features in Apple’s new Clips app, “Selfie Scenes” puts you in a custom scene is only available in the X because of the TrueDepth front facing camera available exclusively on the X.

Just throwing in some good info in the whine fest. :cool:
