No worries. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Like this maybe? :)

ya, saw that one... I was going to ignore that one for now :)

my thought is that sometimes strange Ad code can cause rendering issues, but it wouldn't affect the contributors since there are no ads for them.

ok...

more information needed.

mad jew gave me an example when he went to a post following a reply. Can people be more specific what exactly they are doing when it happens?

Just loading a thread? Replying to a thread?

Most of the times it's happened to me today (probably thirty, forty or so times) it has been when I'm opening a new thread in a new tab. It's no huge hassle, but it's pretty weird. :)

do you remember if you've loaded these threads earlier in your session?

Off the top of my head, I'd visited most of the threads earlier but they all would have had new posts in them.

FWIW, it hasn't happened since that example I emailed to you so not sure if you made any changes but it's definitely behaving itself now. :)

ok, made a change which should take effect in the next few hours. Not sure if this will change anything, but let me know if it improves dramatically over the next day or so.

I've seen it once, and there were no new windows or tabs involved. Hopefully it's been fixed, but here's a pic for good measure.

FWIW, everything is looking fine now, but the problem with the site not loading in Safari with the "bad server response" error seems to have reappeared. If it's a trade off between the page not loading or it not rendering correctly, I'd rather be hitting the refresh button.

Woah... just had an incident when answering over in this thread. When I reloaded the page all was fine.

Using Bon Echo 2.0a3 (aka Firefox 2 alpha) on an iBook G4 under 10.4.6.

Is that the first Firefox incident?
Nah... I've seen a few using Firefox 1.5, but just assumed it was my browser that was acting up. But it's the first I've seen with 2.0 and the first one after this thread was started.

Was the rest of the page messed up, or just the arrow up your nose? When I've had these badly rendered pages, they've been completely unreadable because everything is not where it should be. I'm just wondering if it's the same problem for Firefox users. :)

I've just seen bad renderings exactly like the one attached a couple of post up, where the odd (short) post has been affected. Not seen anyone more messed up than that, and nothing even close to some of the horror screen shots from earlier in this thread... gotta love Firefox... ;)

Yeha, if firefox would check my spelling, I'd switch over. But as you can see, I'm very likely to type things like yeha instead of yeah so I need the spell checker. (And I actually did type yeha inadvertently in that first sentence. And just had to get Safari to spell inadvertently for me. Twice.)

I wonder if it's the same problem though. Hard to say because it's acting fine for me at the moment. :)
